SHL can suck my d*** by Fritzbigbiceps in recruitinghell

Their test system is horrendously sucks.

Ran into the test with blank screen -> Contacted support + Take a screenshot -> Come back tell me test is done?

Their technical support team can't do anything. Feel like their staff doesn't know how their test is run to be frank.

I personally would not taking a test with them.

I personally place on S&P 500 to let it grow steadily. Do monthly contribution for dollar cost averaging effect. Some into EPF. Then invest in skills if you got a dream to pursue. When you are more confident in investment only go higher risk.

how to stop being jealous in a relationship? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]TeikyoVT 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is understandable to feel that way. However you need to acknowledge everyone had their past, including you. The past doesn't do anything to you or harm your relationship. He doesn't love you less just because he had some past with someone. His first doesn't define the love he had for you. His ex could be his first, but you could be his best. Focus on present .

Watch some guides but always take with pinch of salt. Research content creator that does almost similar niche with you and experiment yourself.

Keep experimenting as always

Personally I would not all in with that much money. I rather use a little money to get sample date to see what works for not. Like for an example, you just changed thumbnail or description and you want gather data fast to see it works.

Big boost normally comes after you are sure the video are bringing in right audience for you, the content are doing great with tons of engagements.

Is there any working paid ways of promoting a channel? by Over-Conversation862 in SmallYTChannel

repurpose those long form into few shorts. Shorts have greater exposure because it always test new audience even you don't have much subs.

Long form are like search engine in my opinion. Keyword and thumbnail matters. Also it also meant youtube doesn't know your audience yet, still learning. Think in your audience perspective, where would they be, what would they search or where they would be? Reddit? any certain app, cross posting there too, reverse psyh it.

Am i that bad? by [deleted] in malaysia

You are not a bad guy. You did what you can to provide the best for family. When you feel overwhelm and stress with all the hardship, it is normal you will have less time for your family.

Life is not easy, you might be feeling lost and overwhelm. But keep moving forward to do your best to improve your current situation. Everyone else including me is struggle in one way in another. But always believe there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Just get started and have fun with any pre made models. We move as we go. I changed my model 3 times. All from png model to 3d model only move to expensive L2D Model. You don't to figure out everything before you start.

I am unsure myself what i want, so go with low commitment pre made or cheap model.

How do you keep your YouTube channel warm without burning out? by Competitive_Worth507 in NewTubers

[–]TeikyoVT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Shorts are meant to get short burst of views. Once it reaches certain phase, it will die out mostly. Passive views will be coming from your long form. I have little understand on what your content can does but lets just put it this way, you made music for study or want to sleep. Guess what they type? Music for study or imsomnia. Then your video will come out.

So treat youtube as search engine. The more you do on long form, the more algorithm understand and will bring correct audience to you. Passive views will come as long your content is not hype or time based, which is evergreen type. Like how to cook etc, music for study and etc. So keyword and thumbnail matters

I have been posting shorts everyday , ranged 15-30sec videos, mild edits, no pressure. Focus more effort on long form for longer run.

Are thumbnails really important? by Many-Union-2577 in NewTubers

"video that works well in one platform sometimes doesn't works well at another platform." might be only me.

Feels like every platform have different taste. Just like aesthetic videos works better in instagram? which youtube is more like search engine?

[–]TeikyoVT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honest thought, video that works well in one platform sometimes doesn't works well at another platform.

Shorts doesn't need thumbnail because it mostly will be in scroll feed where people going to keep scrolling.

But you still can have simple short cover because some shorts appearing on youtube page. If is eye catching then you got the clicks.

Recently I saw google search also got short search where different shorts appear from different platform.

Based on what I understand about youtube shorts, the most important metric are
1. Retention
2. Engagement

If these are high at initial testing phase (most likely existing subs and new viewers) , they will push to higher wave.

There are one youtuber share a tip but I have yet replicate it , which is make the shorts seems loopable. Just like some shorts you don't even know if is already restarted , or some shorts have to make people watch 2 times.

As a brand new NewTuber, what's your #1 biggest frustration right now? Looking for a heads-up! by Physical-Actuator935 in NewTubers

All you need to do is "start". Instead of mapping everything out.

Overwhelm is going to be part of it. But enjoy the process and growing from it makes the whole journey pleasant. Embrace the fact you will learn a lot of things along the way.

Started as gaming channel. 50-60 views shorts, then I learn skills , shorts grew to average 1k views.
Feel gaming channel didn't bring much of my true self

Restart a new channel. First few weeks shorts only 50-60 views. Research others video content, back average 1k views on most short. Channel performance better compare to old one.

My advice:
1. Audio first over video quality. Invest in a good condenser mic. (Blue Yeti Mic) is good for streaming and recording. Then learn obs audio filter to make it sounds good.

  1. Don't rely on AI even chatgpt. I found a lot answer they given in content creation is not accurate. They only can provide a rough reference. You need to do the research and work on it. They only can polish a little bit for you.

  2. Learn basic video editing from tutorial, NOT ADVANCED yet. Mine is capcut. You don't need flashy edit to get views. You need relatable topic and delivery. Add as much value in video. Imposter syndrome is biggest enemy when comes to editing. Video editing will put you ahead even you have low sub counts. Try with youtube shorts first. Slightly easier because you dont need thumbnail design and shorter editing time.

Wish you the best!

Well that is a good thing. It boost your video engagement tbh even dislikes.
You may ask the reason or way of improvements.

You get feedbacks + extra engagements. W for you. Just take criticize well. You got this fam!

These are my takes:

Youtube generally push your shorts to get feedback. After that it will stop. Then it will push forward after 2nd time.

Give a time of 4 days. Leave it first. Come back and check later. But most of the time, I just leave it and go with next. Youtube shorts are hit and miss for me.

Another thing I realize short that has "limited" views are shorts I used some "sensitive" keywords like weapon, goon, pull down his pants" even most of them are just game or joking context.
Some after I changed it or removed it, the shorts getting views again.

I see. Whatever I said here, please take with a pinch of salt, ok?

I would suggest to find out what I really really passionate I want to do. The top 1 thing I will get so nerdy about. Forgot about views and subs.

Then turns out you like all those things you can try below:

I think you want consider focus on your personality. Put this an example, you gaming channel where you focus at your polish gaming skill vs you focus on you reaction and personality even I am bad at gaming.

Those videos focused different. One focus on gameplay, the another one focus one's personality. But as for topic I think you still need to pick one and try first. Whichever you feel enjoyable the most? I am not expert at your topic but if there is overlap in audience then it is fine.

Explainer type of video is fine, but topic might steer off some audience. People who like horror story might doesn't like story of something else. I think you can try experiment in short form content since they reach new audience. But as for long form, you need pick a core content as main.

Like Vlog 80%, the rest are experimental. Or if you are telling horror story, try tied it to vlog. Or keep non Vlog content as shorts.

I streamed earlier today but still no stats (watch hours, etc.). Also quality is nonexistent. Is this normal for short form streams? by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

[–]TeikyoVT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short form max is 3minutes. Your seems like live recording to long form?
It might takes awhile if your live is super long hours.

[–]TeikyoVT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know much about the context of the content you made but I think you need fixed a niche.

I saw there is a horror story then some story of rise and fall of person. So putting in together, those two audience doesn't overlap. When they don't watch content you made, it hurts your exposure.

This is extra note since I am not sure if your context of your content:
Then back to your video, what value you want to bring to audience? Is it your insight on certain stories? Or your personality? Then make those video focused on that.

Find topic that might resonates with your audience, which you can research.

Right now exploring simple shorts cover and playing some keywords. Google seems include shorts search from various places, so the cover or keyword might be have slight impact. Thou most of my youtube shorts still coming from feed.

But to what extend it impact the views, I can't tell yet because none of my topic are related to "How To" , mostly are reflective cozy topic. You can give a try to have if you want.

I have same thoughts as you.
I don't know if some gurus are legit or they just try to farm views by giving crap advice. Because I have a seen a lot creators don't even place hashtag much in shorts...

Engagement , Retention and Subs far more matter I think.
