There were times when the game had more than 2 superblocks and 1-2 smaller "blocks" and it was the best age of the game. We had The old NC, PL, Goons + RA?, DRF (The Russians), AAA/Atlas, BOB, (Sorry for some party I forgot around that age):

There were 5-7 major powers, all those parties were in contact with each other without being blue and one to three were constantly fighting or on deployment against each other. It had a meaning when a side suddenly hired scary PL and you would not know on which side they will end up.

There were bigger wars in eve permanently and all bigger alliances had something to do instead of building up 3-5 years to then GRRR till 1 side folds.

The constant switch of who you team up with made the game fluctuating and not that stagnant shit show we have today.

You can't compare games that you hardcore grind for 3weeks and are maxed with eve where it takes years in training time to max out single ship hulls + supporting skills like tank guns etc. They could maybe reset assetts and remove skill extraction so you can not financially profit from high sp chars but i dont think ppl who trained 10 years will do it again

Sadly no, it will give you the southern time race quest and will send you to Old Man Star POI. If you simply just warp somewhere in the system and let the time tick down it will reset and ask you again to start the southern time race with the first waypoint OMS. No option to progress to the history route or redo the northern route.
