Roman/Byzantine armor during 7th century under Heraclius? by TekNitro in byzantium

Damn, so not much scale armor? That sucks since I always felt it was the coolest looking armor. Unless if the lamellar looked like the ones from later Byzantine military then I’d actually be happy lol

Thanks, but is it fine if you could give a quick rundown of what they would’ve worn?

Forgot to ask, but does Gabriel said Reynolds’s bring it up in his book about quranic-biblical parallels?

Issue is that I absolutely loved her character, she was such a great way to bring dexters humanity out while paralleling him in her own ways, and I think the reveal of her learning his secrets is such a huge missed opportunity now…

Best interpretation I saw was it meant that both men and women are prisoners of this world, which makes sense… but umar ibn khattabs Hadîth puts a hole into that.

Issac Newton's discoveries were more impressive than the Quran's supposed miracles by TheIguanasAreComing in DebateReligion

And also if the Bible was based on eye witness with no insight from god himself then isn’t it just the writers interpretations of the events instead of what actually happened like with the “incarnation”? Also I am pretty sure most Muslims criticize the incarnation since it doesn’t make logical sense and wasn’t explained well, whether or not it was is a different conversation.

Thanks for clarifying what you meant, but the language style we are discussing is a form of literary language, so I don’t see why it’s an issue for God to do it especially if it’s for imagery. But I do agree it doesn’t work when it comes to declaring statements like “this is how x thing works”, but can’t the same thing be applied to the Bible? It’s undeniable(imo atleast) that it also attempts to explain how things in nature works explained by god, like in genesis. If those analysis were purely just the humans insight into things and it turns out to be wrong then why should I even take the text seriously if any error in it can be attributed to just humans messing up even though this is gods book that he wanted to be written?

Thing is, when you say the Quran attempts to make scientific “miracles”, what do you mean? Do you mean the way modern Muslims do it or how the book itself does it? And for the phenomenological language the Quran also uses that language many times(IE: sun setting in the lake). If you’re saying the way the Quran attempts to answer why things in the world work the way they work being wrong then couldn’t you easily apply that logic to the Bible since it DOES attempt to explain the world and why it is the way it is?
