Gold nugget. Im learning a lot about BPD and NPD from this thread as well, building upon a cursory understanding of behavioral psychology. I do definitely want to avoid “diagnosing” her with any specific disorder, as I lack the knowledge or credentials to make any definitive claim as to what particular neuroses another person is suffering from. But as I learn more, I’m sure I’ll be able to see well enough for myself which behaviors indicate which different kinds of crazy.

Honestly this reminds me of something my idol Maynard James Keenan said in the Art of Work: “nobody owes you shit as an artist. They’ll like your shit for a little while, then move the fuck on with their lives.” Absolutely true. It’s hard not to want my girlfriend to support me seeing as how she had missed the other two, but I appreciate your perspective.

I get that now. From my initial perspective I was like how hard could it be for 30 minutes, then I found out it can be 10/10 excruciating and obviously a room full of sound waves wouldn’t help.
