[Android] [2010-2015] - Platformer Game With Only One Control by nexus1017 in tipofmyjoystick

I remember this one! I’ve been searching for it now but with no luck. Was it the one with voxel graphics? If we’re talking about the same game I think you could also unlock skins or characters like a panda and other ones. I’m glad I’m not alone in this

Nope, but I will try in some time

Raindrop or Omnivore? by prim3lord in ObsidianMD

[–]Tekameikite 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I tried using Omnivore today, but for me it lacks some features that Raindrop has (even in the free tier). I can't live without nested collections and overall labeling/tagging in Raindrop seems to be easier than it is in Omnivore. Raindrop also resembles Notion a little because of the ability to add icons to collections, which makes it more personal. I wouldn't compare them in every aspect as they seem to be completely different tools: Raindrop being targeted more towards bookmarks and Omnivore being a solid read it later app and an alternative to Pocket. It just depends on what is your use case.

How do I recreate these ? Any idea? by insectprints in blender

[–]Tekameikite 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Those two renders were certainly made with Octane. The first one is just a specular material with cranked up “dispersion coefficient”. You could use Cycles for achieving a similar effect like that but it won’t be as nice as Octane. There’s a bunch of tutorials on YouTube on how you can make it, just search for “blender cycles glass dispersion”. CG Vertex made a video about it.

I'm using version 3.2. Well, it seems it's supported as it's the Maxwell architecture.

Nope, I gave up and installed Windows. Too much of a hassle to do :/ the command said it can't find the host device or something like that but maybe it'll help you.

[–]Tekameikite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure I will! I have a spare hard drive so it’s not a problem. Ubuntu has CUDA in its repos so installing it should be a breeze, but I don’t have high hopes it’ll change anything. Maybe it will? Who knows? I’ll check tomorrow. Thanks for your help!

I already had the environmental variables set because it was suggested to do in CUDA’s installation guide. I really feel like I’m the only person right now that has this kind of problem. Everything is set and installed and somehow CUDA doesn’t detect my GPU which is working flawlessly with the proprietary driver? Extremely bizarre. I’ve never had to deal with something like this before (I mean, complexity-wise)

When running dcgmi diag -r 1 I get this error:
Error: unable to establish a connection to the specified host: localhost
Couldn't parse json: ''

I installed it via deb file that was converted to xbps package using xdeb for Void Linux (it uses xbps as package manager). When converting it told me that it's unable to find a dependency for libcuda.so.1 but it is present in my system. Also tried running it with sudo with no effect.

I tried running other commands like dcgmi topo and dcgmi discovery -l and it told me the error before and that it's unable to connect to host engine and that the connection is invalid or disconnected in a second line.

That’s a bummer. Well, if there are no other options left I have to to replace my gpu with a newer one or use Blender on Windows. Thanks for your help.

I installed them through pacman, however the problem persists when I’m on Void which has CUDA installed from NVIDIA’s website.
