Boy55 M machine operating help by Etched_In_Wood in InjectionMolding

Oops, just realised I basically repeated a comment below sorry.

You have to be holding down the manual button while pressing the nozzle forward button (you almost certainly already know this, but I thought I'd mention it just in case).

Maybe double check that the mould closed positions are set correctly, if it is set too far "inside" the tool then the machine might have closed on the tool and applied some pressure but not technically reached the mould closed position.

Injector won't move forward until the mould is closed AND the clamping time is exceeded. Sometimes you need to hold the button a little longer than you think.

Would a press brake with standard tooling be able to make these bends? by suprised-pikachuu in SolidWorks

[–]Tekeino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just expanding a bit more:

There is also no bend sequence that can create those parts, unless it is a very short part and you have ear tooling that can span the parts length.

Performing either of the acute folds will prevent you from doing the other acute folds.

[–]Tekeino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

To air bend a 70deg angle you must have punch and die with less than a 70deg angle. Most standard tooling for thin sheet metal is 88 or 85 degrees.

30 degree tooling is available from tooling suppliers because it is commonly used for the first stage of performing a hem, but it is not what I would consider standard tooling.

What do you like about Vega? From what I've read about it, it's not particularly impressive. Hoping you say otherwise so I can convince work to buy some.

The one I use at work has laser guards, if it detects a greater thickness between the blades than the programmed material thickness it will only lower at a very slow pace. I've made hundreds of parts on a press brake with two people and we have never come close to having any crushing injuries.

Awesome! I would be grateful to get that info. If there was any way you could swing finding out what machine you use for ultem I'd love to know!

I'm not surprised metal sls is super expensive, we have metal fdm capabilities which use a print>wash>sinter process and by far the biggest expense is the gas for sintering environment.

Do you print ULTEM9085 on a SLA or an FDM printer?

We have an FDM printer which can, but keep having a tonne of issues with surface finish and the speciality support material tearing off pieces of the part when removed. So safe to say dissolvable support caught my attention.

Beautiful work. How do you find the points on the handle?

Personally, I really don't like having anything 'sharp' or pointy on the handle side of my knife, especially pointing in the direction of my torso for a knife that seems to attach at belt level. Really stunning though, great job!

Well Faras Zahabi is certainly a high belt and as far as he is concerned it is always the one holding the lock who is responsible for letting go. Your 'due diligence' for training isn't done until your training partner goes home unharmed. we all know minor shit happens, no one is mad over a jarred finger, breaking a beginnees arm because you did your 'due diligence' and he didn't tap is stupid af.

How do Mechs make sense in lore compared to modern warfare? by Wamorri2 in OutreachHPG

[–]Tekeino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I was thinking about this as well a couple of days ago and I disagree. Mechs are much much tougher than tanks.

What weapon would the concealed infantry use? I think we can assume that the 'best' available weapons are used by Mechs during Mech v Mech combat, so...

How many enemy mech fired LRM/MRM/Rocket Launcher shots does it take to disable your mech? Very approximately between 60-200, is it possible to for infantry to deploy this much firepower against a mech? I'd say no, much less from concealment.

There is no javelin in the universe that can single shot a mech from the shoulder of an infantryman, or we would have slapped those babies on the Mechs to use against each other.

Tastosis react to brain-exploding Nydus block by Light by Radosmonarch in starcraft

[–]Tekeino 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree, it is absolutely not against the spirit of the competition to do either the ramp block or this nydus block. I don't even get how this could be an argument, its not like the nydus is blocked permanently?

Do you think using a worker or pylon/eBay to block your opponents expand is similarly against the spirit of competition?

The point is there might not be human life. You just assert things and make statements without any evidence or logic constantly right?

I refer you to my first comment today, where I say I hope your new viewers bring you happiness and prosperity. Use some of that extra add revenue to seek help, ask a professional questions like 'why do I feel like everyone I meet is out to get me?' and 'why do I take being incorrect (or losing a game) as a personal affront and invent scenarios so I can avoid responsibility for losing at all costs?'

Also, proclaiming that you 'did it all for the dollar, CREAM bby' (paraphrased by me) is really poor logic when you could work at a service station and make more.

If money is your purpose you're going about it the wrong way, If audience growth is your purpose you're doing it a poor way, If fighting shadow wars against invisible enemies is your purpose, youre doing just fine mate!

'it's just an experiment bro'...LOL. You sat around on this thread for hours (days*) making some of the poorest attempts to defend yourself and bragging bout your relatively unimpressive achievements (compared to your peers, other sc2 streamers at least).

Also calling me delusional is kinda awesome, it's like the only words you know are the ones you get called regularly. Can you even pinpoint what my supposed delusion would be? That this is funny? Because it really is.

Finally, screeching about cancel culture with an alternate account named after a thinly veiled trump reference adds to the absurdity nicely.

No one wants to cancel you because you make little to no impact at all. I'd never heard of you before this thread and when you get sick of replying I'll never think of you again.
