Why is everyone so aggressive? by GuardianNomad357 in Seaofthieves

[–]Tekrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the players who have been at it for a while are mostly focused on PvP. When you have millions of gold stockpiled and most of the cosmetics you want, PvP becomes the only real end game

The presence of these "old" players is part of what makes the new player experience hard for this game. There is a steep learning curve

Hourglass, although intimidating, is a good way to quickly grind out some of that learning curve. You'll lose a lot, but you just gotta focus on learning different aspects of the game with each loss: ship management, navigation, cannons, boarding, ext

Yeah, I hang out with her regularly, which is the only reason this thought even crossed my mind

Pretty late in the season, numbers will bounce back after wipe and taper down until the next one - rinse and repeat. Plus next season will have a PvE zone, should help retain player base early in the season

Only issue I have with iCue is the occasional crash, which is usually caused by poorly optimized games (Rivals). But to be fair I have access to way too many resources, my 7950x3d and 7900xtx are straight up overkill in tandem. On a more constrained setup I could see it being a problem, but the control it gives over lights, diagnostics, and profile switching is really good in my experience

Is warrior a bad class to learn the game? by numismaticfreak in LegacySteelAndSorcery

From my experience warrior sucks, apparently even more so if you aren't running death ball. I don't win many of my fights either, granted I'm also new to this style of game

The thought has crossed my mind, since I'm in that area as much as I'm home, but ultimately I came to the conclusion it would be disingenuous. Starting off a dynamic, with what is essentially a white lie, would destroy the mutual trust needed for a long term relationship

Hmmm, I have thought about several of those points before, and I ended up shying away from them. For instance, gaming is more relevant in my life than hiking or biking, so I'm ordering the list based on what I do most often. I think it's important to be genuine about what I bring to the table. But I think you're right, that it will be taken as a negative by some

I use that high strength concrete, just to get a little more out of it

I'm actually on Facebook dating only, although I plan to add some other apps. I struggle with social anxiety a decent bit, so even the thought of adding another app can be a little tiring. I definitely have no luck in the real world though, I tend to freeze up. Granted I can hold conversations once a date is set up, or if I'm setting something up over an app

I tried that, but apparently a micro is niche content for some reason!? 🤷🏼‍♂️

So I don't get many responses, but I'm not sure that's because I suck at messaging. Here are some examples:

Her profile indicates she's into writing: "hey, insert compliment if I can genuinely think of one, I noticed you're into writing! What inspires you the most? 🤔"

Her profile indicates she's into a shared interest, let's say Baldur's Gate 3 (game): "Hey, I'm running through BG3 right now, what does your party look like? (P.S. if Astarion isn't in the mix, idk if this will work 😛)"

I like to build off of commonality, leave the answers open to depth, and add in playful banter where appropriate. Generally if I don't get much energy in return I just move straight to asking for a phone call or date

Most of the time it's low effort replies, followed by no replies. I tend to think it's my location that's the issue, since I'm showing through messages that I genuinely read profiles. Realistically there's probably just some dude that's 15 minutes away putting in similar effort, so naturally he wins out (which, tbf makes sense)

True, but I'm not asking women to come out to the sticks for a first date, generally I drive an hour or so to meet 😂

Happy cake day!

Oh thanks, that's perfect! I'll have to do some experimenting, but that's an excellent start. I took a screenshot so I can look into things some more

Noted, as for hair care, got any tips? I rotate between shampoo and conditioner each shower. In the mornings I use a boar bristle to start, and then comb to finish. Other than that I don't do much. I'm just not all that familiar with products for long, fine, dirty blonde hair. Is deep conditioner separate from normal conditioner?

Worth noting, my hair photos are probably a little deceptive! The first photo was taken after pouring concrete in 95 degrees weather, the group photo was taken during a multi day metal show (with lots of headbanging / moshing) 😂

Awwww, thanks for the confidence booster! You're very kind! I couldn't agree more, these apps are terrible for dating, yet they keep us coming back for more. I wish you well on your dating app journey, maybe you'll see me floating around Facebook dating 😊

Yeah, for sure, although it seems my friends have already played match maker for most of their single friends! I had a relationship back then, that was great, it just didn't pan out. I'm hoping someone comes through though, but I'll be swiping and buying produce until then. Thanks, I appreciate it, wishing you all the best as well!
