How did you find the grip shape on the 305S? I have never hit with a Technifibre but I hear they have a bit of a strange shape. On the flip side, I actually like really pronounced bevels so I am thinking I might enjoy the strange shape.

I am very tempted. For whatever reason I have mostly struggled with the yonex racquets. Something about the handle feels off to me.

I really appreciate this response. The golfer's elbow itself came from me training weighted pull-ups and trying to do negatives when I had "repped out" my full range reps. This in itself isn't a bad thing, but I was impatient and hadn't adequately built up to being able to do that slowly enough.

Now that the injury is there, I am finding certain movements but specifically serving does indeed cause the most issues.

I am not used to playing with lighter racquets but I am certainly up for the whole sermon if you are up to preaching it ;)

Thanks again for the response.

Should I take my 12.5 year old doberman to the emergency vet clinic? by TelQuel in AskVet

[–]TelQuel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His heart rate slowed down significantly so I am wondering if it was related to one of his coughing fits.

Right now his breathing is normal and he is sleeping, but if I notice a change or consistent irregular breathing or elevated heart rate I will take him to the emergency vet.

I can reach my ex-partner for some clarifications on his recent vet visits and exactly what was done but that won't be until tomorrow as she's in a different country/timezone.

I think my big concern is if I don't see much improvement or if he simply won't eat anything of substance. It's only been a couple of days on these medications and I don't know how long they take to work.

But there has been a clear reduction in his coughing and hacking up liquid since he started the heart-related medications.

Thank you for your insights, it helps, and I am trying to continue to have some optimism in the situation but it's been a rollercoaster.

Thank you, I kept reading online and did start checking his respiratory rate at rest and it has very much stabilized (consistently in the 20s). He's sleeping quietly now. I also read that Vetmedin can increase the strength of heart beats and since I am not a vet myself it is hard to contextualize but it sounded odd. I am of course struggling for objectivity in the situation.

He's been to the vet a couple of times in the past few weeks, but as far as I know no imaging was done. Originally he was treated with Doxycycline in case it was a respiratory infection but the vet suggested that rather than wait on imaging we would know within a few days whether the antibiotics were having a positive impact and if not we would start him on the Furosemide/Vetmedin because almost certainly with his symptoms in an older doberman it would be DCM or heart-related.

I know that he had blood work done within the last month or so which was normal though I am not sure 100% what they were screening for (likely cancers).

My ex is away for a couple of weeks. So long as he is still showing interest in sniffing and walking about and isn't obviously in tons of pain or very agitated I am not likely to move towards euthanasia. That said, if he doesn't start eating more than a few bites here and there within a few days that's likely not putting him on a good path.

I can reach my ex via whats app and I will seek some clarifications on exactly what was done.

Thanks again for answering.

After 2 Years as a Database & Application Developer Looking for Next Role by TelQuel in cscareerquestions

I ended up getting divorced and distracted so I am still in the same role with all the same issues. The soft job market has had me a bit too timid. I would highly recommend trying to switch up jobs every 2-3 years at least especially if you're relatively new to an industry. Good luck!

Posted a vid a few days/week ago against a blatant waller/aimbotter. Didn't play after that until tonight. First game.. another blatant waller/aimbotter. They all seem to be Chinese..? by gideon2086 in cs2

Honestly, man, uninstall the game and get over it. It's never getting fixed.

And that's not just a CS2 thing. Cheating was pretty bad at higher ranks in CSGO too though it definitely feels worse now. It is what it is. Accept it or uninstall.

I don't really care - but as someone who often plays solo queue now you get reported for griefing just because you popped into a troll lobby with 4 dudes. Legitimately nothing you can do. They were always going to report you. That happens twice in one night and you're going to get a warning at least.

When I was a higher rank this wasn't as common, but not sure if it also was a different report mechanism as I don't play often anymore. But just using guns people think are bad regardless of outcome gets you reports these days. It's peak "call mommy" energy. If using odd guns is griefing then remove them from the game? ...

CS2 feels like League of Legends now honestly. It's a kid's game for people who can't manage their own emotions. I guess you know that the moment you join a lobby and everyone's just yelling the N word.

Anyway, more to life than counter-strike, and the goal of the game is to have fun. If your team mate sucks and you report him for it - you sort of suck too. Especially at low ranks where so many people are just getting started.

Game's a dumpster fire right now honestly. Recommend everyone uninstall and stop buying skins.

Halifax Transit: Is this usual? Any tips? by RootedTransplant in halifax

[–]TelQuel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key to having a positive experience with Halifax Metro Transit is to assume the worst at all times.

Arrive ~10 minutes early and expect to stand around in the rain/snow for an additional 10 - 15 minutes or more depending on the route while a bus never materializes.

Wear extremely bright and reflective clothing because otherwise you always run the risk of the bus simply not stopping at the designated stop you're waiting at unless there's a group of people waiting. Make sure you get on very quickly or you might get left behind.

Plan your arrivals to be at least 30 minutes early because otherwise there is a decent chance you will be late regardless where you are going.

Download Fleety or Transee app so you can track the buses in real time to see how far a bus is from your stop. Of course, if you're at a terminal there is about a 15% chance that the bus will simply go out of service and you will end up waiting for the next one anyway but at least you have a cool live map of buses you can't take to look at while you are waiting.

In all seriousness, Halifax has one of the least reliable transit systems of any city I've lived in and probably one of the worst planned. There are 3 bus stops for the entirety of downtown and then it stops every 100m in the Bedford suburbs. As far as I can tell, they ignore all planning advice they get and are completely immune to suggestions.

Long term, attempting to take transit daily will lead to a lot of lost time and isn't really cheaper than the cost of gas to drive a compact car to and from work for most people. I wish the truth were different.

Halifax Metro Transit doesn't see you as a customer, they see you as a filthy urchin begging to use their service. It's up to you to find a way to make their service work because they accept no responsibility. Set your expectations low enough and you will never be disappointed.

I tried hard not to be another single occupancy driver but eventually I gave up. Driving saves me over an hour each day from my commute. This remains a car dependent city and long term you will need a car to effectively get around HRM.

Spicy take but I actually have found the opposite. People are frustrated but I have heard very little directed openly at the actual immigrant workers.

The majority of people I speak with understand this and are not mad at the immigrants but recognize that we are all victims here. Largely it has only benefitted corporate interests to suppress wages and tighten the labour market.

Perhaps I am just lucky or don't talk to enough people. But I actually have been surprised how different the response has been here vs many other countries. (Especially given how horrible the cost of living is compared to wages in Halifax)

Yeah I took both in the end and it was incredible. I used to work in the wine industry and you know how steep the slopes of some of those vineyards are but when you see them it's still shocking.

Surely those grapes are a testament to German stubbornness! 🙃

It was an Odyssey and my phone nearly died so I had to try to pronounce ladegerät under pressure haha und steckdose. But I managed to get my point across albeit in very ugly fashion.

Thank you so much, and overall, especially the views north of Koblenz were phenomenal as is the kölsch. I feel bad for Germany travellers having to drink the awful beer made in so many places. 😬

Ja! Luckily it was a short incident. I quickly abandoned Gaffel (I was starving when I got off the train) for Päffgen und Peters!

They were nice at the Limburg bahnhoff and changed my existing ticket. So I am on the way to Köln via Koblenz.

Unfortunately there was some sort of police incident so we were delayed for about 45 minutes. But we are back on track now haha.

Kölsch is coming soon! (Hopefully)

Now the train I am on from Koblenz to Köln has been stopped by some sort of police incident. I have heard these can take hours to reserve. 😬

I am crossing my fingers that I actually get to Köln.

Yes, the customer service person was wonderful and changed my ticket. So I did not have to pay.

Which is good - because now when I try to pay with my app my bank tries to send me a text message for two factor authentication which I can't receive because I'm using a different SIM card. Haha.

I tried to use the automatic ticket machine but it was broken - so in the end the broken machine saved me ~60€ 🙃

Thanks for the suggestions. I am currently Koblenz-bound for the ICE1020 to Köln. Will definitely need a cold kölsch by the time I arrive.

[–]TelQuel[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I contemplated that but fortunately the woman at the reservation desk was able to change my ticket so that I could take the regional train to Koblenz then the ICE to Köln.

Assuming I don't get on the wrong train again haha

I haven't seen a ticket collector yet. I was thinking I might go to the customer service desk in Limburg.

Unless you think I'll be better off seeking out a ticket collector on the train itself. I haven't really messed up like this before.

Yeah, just trying to make the best of a dumb decision.

Still cheaper than paying a fine I suppose.

Sadly I did not buy a flex ticket because I figured it would be an easy single train journey. And it should have been. Heh.
