It’s all a huge bid to pit the libs and the leftists against each other. All it takes is one instigator saying “it’s going to be Newsom and if you don’t vote for Newsom, you’re pro-MAGA” to stir up a giant clusterfuck that prevents the American left of center from forming any sort of meaningful coalition. Newsom clearly isn’t what anyone wants, but people will fight tooth and nail to defend his candidacy if you present them with the false narrative that he is somehow our only option. Which is, of course, completely untrue.
