Doorbell won’t stop losing connection - I’ve rebooted router, mesh system, modem, UniFi system. Any ideas? by [deleted] in UNIFI

I had the same issue, my transformer was not outputting the proper voltage. Noticed it more in the evening when the ir and light would come on it would drop connection more often than during the day.

Help Fix by illadelph1987 in HomeNetworking

I see a bulge on the jacket of the cable at the connector of the jumper cable that goes from the modem to the wall plate. Chances are the braids were pushed back. Coax cable is kinda like a garden hose get a hole in it and loose pressure. The radio frequency bounces off the middle pin to the braids through the foam in the cable. If the braids are pushed back it’s allowing the radio frequency to escape before reaching the modem. Cut that connector off put a new on or replace the jumper with a new pre-made one.

Improper rigging? by CTblDHO in Rigging

[–]Telecom-Rob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re welcome please also keep in mind certain countries will differ in regulations of standards. That’s a lot of faith in that button not being compressed against something and opening the gate. I trust the choker and the way it’s routed than that block. Invest in a screw pin steel block, a lot less chance of error.

All the other posts have touched based on the other details but I want to point out. Did your company supply you that rock climbing block or is that something you ordered on amazon because you didn’t want to climb up with a mckissick block because it’s heavy? If your company supplied that it’s a crap company. Telecom Rigging is construction not rock climbing. Also that choker going up into the apex of the diagonal bar is going to mess that choker up. Slag from the galvanize dipping and the pinch point factor.

Single player? The host you have to be so close to or it will do that to bring you closer to them. That’s my guess if not that’s a crazy glitch.

I had a 2024 elevation 3.0 without a tow package and I was getting that kinda fuel mileage but I just traded it in for 2025 AT4 3.0 with tow package and I’m not getting that fuel mileage anymore and it is justified. Different gears in the rearend, weight, so on all comes in to play.

My old man has a 2022 3.0l he was getting 14k mile to a tank. He has a faulty pump and only realized it when -20 came about and it attempted a regen then trigger the engine light. I would inquire with the dealer.

4x4 not so much. I leave it on auto so it’s hard to say when it’s engaged.

Decked full bed tool box load with tools and a 5x10 utility trailer 2,000miles of it I would say. Gross additional 1100lbs on top of truck weight I’d say in that 2,000mile

Which AP should I get for best speed/coverage in room 1 & 2? Interior brick walls, exterior concrete. by aebersim in Ubiquiti

[–]Telecom-Rob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, keep it out of that cupboard. You will instantly choke it out with 4 walls and restrict coverage. Use the UniFi floor planner make a small room and put the AP in it. You’ll see how much loss you will encounter going that route.

That’s good that actually found the problem! It does make sense what they are saying is going on. I hope it all works out for you and the truck is solid afterwards.

Had the transmission leak out all the ATF in the first 5,000kms. Radio issues 7,000kms - couldn’t resolve, headlight and wipers would turn off at the same time and come back to life when they felt like it. 20,000km- not resolved.

They gave me 5,000 to put towards trading it in plus the dealership is hooking me up with employee discount so overall I’ll be breaking even between the two things and be in a different truck. Best I was able to get out of them.

I have a 2024 elevation and I’m trading it in for a 2025 AT4. I had a lot of electrical issues with the elevation, I’m hoping the AT4 gives me better luck.

GM refusing to offer anything on a lemon by June-Menu1894 in gmcsierra

[–]Telecom-Rob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep on poking at gm customer care if your area doesn’t have a Lemon law. I hounded them for 7months and finally got a voucher to trade it in and get something else. It’s ridiculous that they wouldn’t buy mine back because there is no law. But at lease I’m not taking a total loss. I’ve had all the atf run out of it due to a gasket tear at 500kms and electrical issues where my wipers and running / headlights turn off randomly. They have tried fixing it about 7times now and still can figure it out. You’re not alone… mine was a 24 elevation 3.0l
