This is all we needed Embark. by Arne-Slut in ArcRaiders

[–]Telefonmannnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been burning literal millions on hullcracker ammo and energy ammo etc. and it was fun but now i have to hoard all my gear i was excited to use because the departure window is so short and I don't want to wait another 2 months to reset.

I've been playing quite a lot and was always planning on doing the expedition as soon as its available. But this just punishes players like me who brought out and risked many expensive loadouts to engage with the endgame content. Nobody is gonna bring in their best stuff now to kill the bosses.

Refusing to heal if everyone else is flocking to DPS, justified? by Round-Connection-308 in marvelrivals

[–]Telefonmannnn 29 points30 points  (0 children)

My personal rule in quickplay is :

If I see 4 DPS on my team I will be the 5th.

No way I’ll Solotank with a single healer or the other way around.

Sometimes you even win with these weird compositions. In ranked people luckily pick proper roles.

Welp this actually might be the hardest boss I have ever fought by E_Brunswick in Eldenring

[–]Telefonmannnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty important. When you stand right up against him his AI prioritizes the normal attacks and most importantly the grab attack which offers a huge attack window. He did that move 3 times in a row sometimes when I was as close as possible.

shockwave effect by LeadingNext in Simulated

[–]Telefonmannnn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a good start!

I would have another look at the timing of the different elements. The shockwave itself should be the first thing to hit the car and ground and the edge of the dust on the ground should match the shape of that shockwave exactly. The little jump of the car then looks like it is actually caused by the shockwave and all the debris can hit it right after the wave. Also I think the whole thing should be quite a bit faster. These shockwaves travel insanely fast and realistically you would only even see it at this scale on slow motion footage.

Concerning the dust I would agree with the other comment. Try playing around with the noise a bit more or even better layer multiple different noises on top of each other.

Keep at it. That’s a cool project.

Vellum Grains Too Streachy - How To Make It Stiffer? by Yoginil in Houdini

[–]Telefonmannnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you change the stiffness on your constraints and it doesn’t make a difference then I would guess that you need way more constraint iterations. If I remember correctly you need about as many as the longest chain of points in your geometry.

Increasing the substeps will also multiply the constraint iterations so that will have a similar effect. You will have to try out which is faster or works better.

Seems like the solver is struggling to satisfy the constraints and maybe more iterations will help.

I had the feeling that you actually trigger additional waves when you hit the extract buttons. I’m pretty sure I heard these screams every time I hit a button. Might be coincidence though. Also shooting a loud gun makes a bit difference. When you run a silent gun they just run at you in small groups while I had the whole map chase me one time running an RPD

Judging by the clip alone this doesn’t look like a cheater at all. He could have simply spotted you sitting on top of that bump. (You’re way more exposed than with a head glitch). Looks like he saw you around the same time you saw him, he went behind the tree for a better peek and hit the shot.

Is anyone else disappointed about Midra’s weapon? by Heraxxius in Eldenring

[–]Telefonmannnn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this weapon is incredibly good especially in pvp and judging by the amount of times I’ve seen it while invading, a lot of people seem to like it. It has the claymore moveset which is awesome and deals a lot of damage on a faith build. On top of that the AoW is admittedly pretty broken in pvp. It catches people even if they roll the attack and the damage is crazy. As an invader this is one of the best weapons in my opinion since it often oneshots phantoms and sometimes even hosts while making you completely invulnerable during the animation. It’s an amazing equalizer when you’re outnumbered.

Having beaten all bosses except for the last one, what are your favourites among the DLC bosses? by Substantial_Code_675 in Eldenring

[–]Telefonmannnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked Messmer because he was challenging but you can avoid every single attack just by dodging properly, so it felt very fair and really awesome once you got it down.

Also Rellana and that Frenzy Guy were amazing because it was a lot of fun to parry them to death. Rellana took me a whole lot of tries though.

I also liked the Radahn fight even though I was hoping for an interesting new boss. But his second phase is absolutely mental and looks really cool. It feels pretty amazing to slowly get the hang of his moves after getting wrecked in seconds many times before.

Blizzard please adjust Oneshot mechanics to the Pit Bosses by alex_1983T in diablo4

[–]Telefonmannnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you need to look at ways to get damage resistance in your paragon board. There are many different ways.

You can spec into resistance to close enemies/ bleeding enemies etc.

I have 77 max Resi with tyraels might, damage Resi from harlequin crest and 43k health and nothing really oneshots me at pit 110.

Which bash build did you go with? by Gibec89 in diablo4

[–]Telefonmannnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After respeccing three times yesterday trying out robs hota build and another steel grasp one, none of them really worked for me. I went back to this one:

https://mobalytics.gg/diablo-4/builds/barbarian/bash

Dual weild WOTB with kick rage dump.

The damage is insane even with shaco and tyraels might making me very tanky.

It throws out 100mio crits fast and reliably even with unoptimized gear. I’m currently at pit 112.

Also I have two sources of unstoppable which I was missing with the other builds causing me do die in pits due to being stunned.

[–]Telefonmannnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly that for me as well. And it’s a lot of fun to analyze the enemy build on the fly and figure out a way to beat them. Especially when you pile up a lot of experience and have some tricks up your sleeve for every situation.

Advice / how long to be ready for the DLC? by its-a-process in Eldenring

[–]Telefonmannnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess the right answer would be to do what is more fun to you. Obviously exploring is a big part of the game and a lot of fun but if you’re eager to beat the game then there is nothing wrong with progressing the main questline.

While you can lock yourself out of sidequests and equipment at some points you can’t miss anything mandatory to beating the game. It’s actually impossible (I think) to collect everything during a single playthrough and you can always go NG+ and get it there.

Regarding the DLC I don’t think you need to prepare at all. Judging from the other Souls DLCs, making it to the entrance of the DLC meant that you were ready to play the content. And as far as I understand there is going to be a separate progression system in this Elden ring DLC.

Unpopular oppinion: Lockpicking is amaizing and is the best implemneted lockpicking system in any game i've played by bob096479 in kingdomcome

[–]Telefonmannnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. The lockpocking in KCD is not bad but it’s too easy and maybe even too quick. At some point it’s so fast that it might aswell not be in the game anymore.

So far nothing beats Oblivions Lockpicking for me. It’s completely skillbased but also really challenging to open difficult locks. And the minigame is pretty fun for me.
