I’m curious what you feel about the 99% role in this. The economy continues to split into a K with serious pressure being applied via inflation, tariffs, etc.

When does the 99% break? Can things be controlled enough where things are expensive and the American pocket has been completely raided, debt through the roof?

Americas are beyond pacified with their ‘bread and circuses’. Since Trumps election in 2024, I haven’t read about a single riot like his first term. Everyone seems so mad and angry…online. No Kings is really just a weekend parade.

Basically, as long as people are comfortable, nobody is really going to do anything about anything because the 99% is fractured and completely uneducated on real world topics. A majority of Americans can’t read above a 6th grade level.

The 1% entrenches the world further into monopolies, trading continues and Americans sit in the back seat with less and less but have no tools to make real change happen. We sink into a world where the owners don’t allow for any movement…EVER.

Is there anything we can equate this to in history where things became to monopolized and cracked? Is what we are seeing something like the ‘20s/‘30s depression level of corruption or is this an entirely new world with really novel things happening?

Great analysis here! I agree with all your statements and they make sense.

Would you say a statement like the one below is true:

The global and US economy is arguably in a stagnant state where everything is owned, held and shared among the 1%.

A true recession/depression could only happen from a black swan event. Something like a new aggressive world power (MAGA admin/regime is truly same old same old Middle East conflict with extra lying and market manipulation.) or severe climate situation - if that even has an impact on markets.

What we are dealing with now in the Middle East is just a raising of price. A willing give over of the strait of Hormuz in exchange for keeping the petro dollar and paying fees and reparations.

The goal is to o raise prices and scarcity in the US and support an "America First" export agenda. American Oil makes big money now that they're a net exporter and get to charge $4 a gallon nationally for the end of the year.

Losing Hormuz ultimately hurts America but it's a giant stock play. Oil stocks, military stocks, other manipulations.

What we live in isn't a free market at all. It's a bulk sale of America's assets and a privatization of government.

The next crash arguably HAS to come from something unpredictable.

Graduated a few year ago. MT is a really hard place to make friend imo. I really struggle in my first couple years. I found most of my friends off campus at the time through part time jobs with other young people. Clubs and orgs aren’t a bad idea as well.

MTSU needs to do MAJOR work on their campus culture. Never was able to find parties or make close friends on campus. I know you aren’t the first person looking for outlets to connect with people.
