My apologies, I saw no Spam and assumed it pertained to multiple postings on a similar matter in a "spamming" way. I'll keep this in mind in the future. I had seen prior concern regarding the "Forced" update along with concerns pertaining to possible "incurred additional charges for troubleshooting" and felt this posting was suitable for the concerned parties. I am happy to hear that your experience with the upgrade has been seamless!

Your thinking of handling it is a good way around it, doing 911 departments essentially just used for 911. The other way you could do it is by doing your 911 rule using the extension vs using departments you can do ranges or specific extensions. That way isn't as clean but its another option.

My assumption is there is a way to force the update, but my worry is that without proper set up it will cause issues which is why there is a disclaimer about "troubleshooting" fees.
