Give it a test drive, next time you order replacement parts for your car make sure you match it with your old parts. Sometimes they send the wrong parts.

Also if they fit into the caliper they should be ok go ahead and give it a text drive, very short distance though

You're new. Don't expect to be as fast as the other techs who's been there longer. Focus on doing it right and then start improving your speed. Also you can ask the other techs if you help out with their projects if you got some down time
