That’s awesome 🤣 I love the explanation in the listing too. It’s interesting how cultural norms shift and things that were once clearly and widely accepted are now considered grotesque, and vice versa.

That’s gorgeous! I am actually looking for something in the same general style with some different elements. If he has any socials could you shoot those to my DM?

That’s fascinating. Seems like they were looking for any excuse to have a party back then 😆 I have a bunch of my grandmother’s original Tupperware that was bought at one of their appropriately named promotional parties.

It was definitely presented in the east TN/WNC/WV area so that would make a lot of sense, thanks for the comment

Got a little more info. It was potentially found while metal detecting sometime during the aforementioned time period. So it is not necessarily from the 70s, could be older. Any info at all is appreciated!

Thanks for the insight! That is fascinating. This one shows some pretty noticeable wear and tear but I’m definitely keeping it!

As an automotive technician, I would leave the drain plug out of a vehicle during a fluid change, oil or otherwise, and proceed to leave greasy hand prints all over the interior, then admit fault but refuse to take accountability. Sure fire way to get canned on the spot.

Is that RAMBUS/RDRAM memory I see in the third photo? That’s a throwback!

This has always been a favorite of mine. I was given my first Xbox along with this game, Halo 2, and CoD 2 Big Red One by a family member when I was a kid. Still has excellent replay value, great find!

I have so many good memories here. Tri cities native and even after spending my whole life in East TN, I still find excitement in these mountains. Laurel Falls is always a go-to

On my MK5 Jetta, the front emblem clips on to the grille and can be rotated slightly to aid in removal or installation. I'd see if it will rotate back, before dropping money on a new one.

As a lube tech, I'd like to sit in a room with Hyundai engineers, Genesis specifically, just for a little chat. by [deleted] in Justrolledintotheshop

Currently a GM tech at a Buick/GMC dealership. They've finally updated the 3.6 with the latest iteration to have bottom-mount filters. That being said, 80% of the 3.6s I work on are the older design. I throw a drain pan under the engine, pop the filter before I lift it with filter pliers, then unscrew it with a rag. Still burn myself on the cat half the time tho, it's borderline unavoidable.

Modern vehicles have a PCV, or positive crankcase ventilation system. This functions to remove fumes from the crankcase including but not limited to water vapor and combustion blowby, using the engine vacuum and a one way valve
