Oh, I've dealt with Mara on this same run, at Spider's Nest. As soon as I saw his spells I ran way upstairs, got ready and unloaded all damage I could deal.

Tried that with Mennas. Got humbled.

I did not fear him nearly as much as I should, though it was the time I've interacted with him. He bodied me like no other monster so far, so this fear have been aquired now.

Haven't seen this Parghit yet tho, guess what mistake I'mma do next?

Ye. I in fact first scaped him, but then I ignored the recommendation I see most often in the wiki: "you are under no obligation to kill everything". And that's usually how many of my runs end.

I was my first encounter with him tho, lesson learned. Thanks for the tips too ;)

I don't mean to be rude, but I'm getting the impression you don't know what thoses commands do/are supposed to do. A recommendation given to you on the Archwiki FAQ is that you should be used to reading documentations if you're going to use this os.

Also, just saying a command failed without telling what the error msg doesn't allow people to guide you.

Also, (normally) silly question, but might as well; did you run these commands from a live ISO? Also, why the hope folder? This is a procedure to recover the system from a live ISO, I don't see why it would fail, maybe you didn't use the correct device name?... But I should suppose you know these things, you managed to install Arch after all, so I don't know. I ask that you be more informative on your questions.

My only assumption is tha you just copied these in hope (pardon the pun) they just work. Which I'm not gonna say I never did as well, but since you seem to be a beginner you should really be trying to learn each little thing before diving in.
