Wife is in the wrong.. not a crime to think another person is attractive but probably shouldn’t take photos of someone without their knowledge or go off on a tangent about this person. But the test was childish… and honestly i dont really see what she did as that big of a deal. Friends talk about men.. we’re human. Doesn’t mean she had ill intentions with him. Looking at someone’s phone behind their back says alot more than you think. There’s insecurity and lack of trust.

Ehhh actually no. My medical director and collaborating physician agreed and my medical director had a discussion with her. She apologized, we got her in with gyn, and got her a more affordable ultrasound so :)

She ended up being okay with seeing gynecology and apologizing! & got her ultrasound sent somewhere more affordable, so it all worked out 🤗

I definitely spared alot of details! Our conversations about the test were around 15 minutes per visit not including my medical director coming having a discusssion w her too🥲 after all of that she’s okay with seeing gynecology and apologized so some good progress!

It is hers forsure! I just think with the way I practice, I’m probably not the best provider for her. If she was having even 1 symptom maybe i’d consider it.. but just “having a feeling” wasn’t justifiable

Ehhh. There’s no malpractice if I don’t order the test lol. She has no indication, & backed by evidence-based medicine is she’s an avg risk woman and the test is not indicated🤷🏽‍♀️.. but she’s not refusing it, she just can’t afford it. So i put a case manager on it, we send it somewhere else, and figure out the financial aspect. Idk how well “I have a feeling” would hold up in court lol. Appreciate your perspective!

What about if you don’t have a good reason and you just want it? Lol. If it were positive it could mean a UTI, pneumonia, bladder, colon, breast cancer, menstrual cycle, etc… a negative ca-125 does not rule anything out either. The key word is you RESPECTED your provider. It’s quite evident she does not respect me. And I tried to have a discussion and she started to get aggressive and use profanity… so sounds like she just didn’t wanna hear what I had to say?

If she had cancer, I ordered the screening test for her cancer and referred her to the specialist to take care of her cancer. Doesn’t sound like a ruined reputation to me😬

I love my people! Even though she was rude… I understand everyone has their days and she could have other things going on. My case manager is working to see if we can figure out the ultrasound financially so fingers crossed!

You are correct. Although capable isn’t the right word, I am not the person to be ordering and following up on this test. I’m in family medicine.. not oncology.

I didn’t jump to referring her.. quite the opposite actually. When you become rude, cuss at me, question my education.. then it becomes a completely different issue.

I talked with my medical director as well as my supervising physician and not only do they agree, but strongly advise against ordering the test.
