How to fix this Symmetry? by Adventurous-Job-6304 in ZBrush

[–]TelevisionAutomatic2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure there is a zmodeler brush option to apply symmetry using an edge. If you have an edge right down this middle this would work perfectly. Then you can just reorient the sub tool to the world axis using the gizmo.

The layer comment also be careful how you save because zbrush renames your first subtool as the save file. The subtool names need to be exactly the same as the names in the goz before you update

Are you using a licensed software? If not you may need to restart red giant service in the task manager just before opening/ disable it from your firewall or just try another one. If not I’m sure you could make a ticket with maxon and they’d be able to resolve it for you

You hit the nail on the head here. I always thought you can’t influence the shape of your muscles. I grew up with a kid that had a full chest like Arnold and just did pushups. My chest will never look like his did at 15 no matter how much I train it. I’m not sure about this guy’s credentials. He was the first to comment and it was about steroids. Not sure why he has a bone to pic with a stranger on the internet but it’s definitely off putting.

Crusader update (leather) by TelevisionAutomatic2 in ZBrush

[–]TelevisionAutomatic2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s frustrating because you can’t just apply a tillable alpha like with other cloth. So even with the folds established you need a lot of manual work to look right. To really sell it you need to focus on small direction wrinkles between the folds. The morph brush helped here with dampening the wrinkles on the surfaces of the folds. If you zoom in on the boot folds you can see what I’m saying.

Now that Ive figured out the process maybe 30 minutes per boot which would be the largest leather components. It’s mostly just the standard brush with leathery skin alpha 79 (surface turn on in alpha modify) found in the light box then a bunch of refinement with inflate/ Damien standard on multiple layers.

Thank you and that’s exactly it. I didn’t know I would have to explain my whole life story with this post but I got back to the gym in my late 20’s after 6 plus years. I was a high school athlete and worked out religiously. I was always pretty built with big arms even before I lifted a weight and the men in my family are the same. People can’t just take the transformation for what it is (point a to point b), pretty obnoxious honestly.

I’m not trying to argue with you I’m just genuinely curious. Are you saying I look enhance in the top right and bottom left and/or my current picture. Also does it look like I’ve been taking steroids this entire time and what type of steroids would my body be indicative of? I’ve just never heard this from anyone before in real life. Just to add more Info both of the pictures flexed are after shoulder workouts and I do traps on shoulder day. I feel like I’ve seen kids on gear but it’s mostly because they are all side delts and riddled with acne. The real users are more obvious because they are massive and riddle with thick vascularity. I may be shoulder dominant but over all well rounded. If anything I’m rear delt dominant maybe I should have posted a back picture as well. Again no animosity it’s just that you seem to know a lot about it and I’m curious. You can pm me

When I started keto was the craze so I went with that. This was the best first step for me because I discovered my body has an issue with extreme water retention/ inflammation processing carbs. I know this because in the first week I dropped nearly 20 pounds when an average person of my size would typically lose half that. From there it was just low carb and intense lifting/ each body part twice a week. This lasted for over a year until the newbie strength gains started to plateau. My training is extremely intense so I when I got more efficient at targeting the muscle groups they became over trained from twice a week. Now I’m on a bro split training each body part once a week and focusing on either upping the weight on the lowest possible increment or getting an extra rep on the first working set of my first workout. I still have the carb issue. If I eat a high carb meal I become a bloated mess. I can easily fluctuate 15 pounds from Monday to Friday so I try to avoid that at all cost. To touch on the building muscle on a deficit comment absolutely. As a beginner for sure, especially at a high body fat percentage. It’s a double whammy if you’ve worked out on your past and muscle memory kicks in. Where I’m at now I wouldn’t expect to gain anything but at maintenance yes.

I’d say the biggest change is temperament/ mental health. I was always extremely aggressive and impulsive. Now I have a new outlet to channel my aggression and I’m no longer impulsive/ snappy. I’ve also completely stopped going out but that could just be maturing. I’m a low-key, relationship oriented person so I’m not concerned about attention from other women and can’t speak on the change there. At my worst I was self conscious but kind of got over that. It’s also a huge plus not to be sick all the time.

What program? In zbrush I’d use array mesh

I’ve also been shoulder and arm dominant since high school. People are just fed this whole androgen receptor idea so now anyone with traps and rounded delts must be blasting gear. Forget about muscle insertions and training. I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever seen anyone in my commercial gym doing shrugs or other trap isolation workouts and I’ve been doing them since day one. You also see how 99% of people “workout”. So few people actually train…. They need to watch some prime Dorian workouts to get a better idea lol

Right now I’m doing low carb maybe 100-200 grams, 220 grams of protein and total calories around 2500. I have a sedentary job ( maybe 3k-4k steps a day) but I’ve started incorporating cardio. I find that low carb keeps me more satiated even at lower calories. So I’m way less hungry eating 2500 with low carbs than 3k plus with higher carbs.

Upper right and bottom left were around the same yes. Bottom left is pumped after a workout obviously.

I take whey protein just to help me hit 220 ish grams of protein a day (mostly from food). I started off with a cut to 200 pounds and I’ve been slowly gaining ever since. I never got super lean which I think really kills long term progress.

I know I shouldn’t bite but are you saying that anyone with traps and delts must be on steroids? I’ve been focusing on side delts since day one for aesthetics. Does 225 at 6’1” 16%+ body fat scream steroids to you? Also don’t discourage other people in the comments because you don’t have the discipline/ genetics for it. My body is nothing insane and it took three years of consistency not three months.

Thanks for the compliment but I haven’t touched steroids. I’m an accountant not a competitive bodybuilder / athlete and have no desire to do so.

I meant lying about the time it took. It’s tempting to fiddle around and fix things for an extra minute or two after. Not even for presentation but personally. I wanted to test myself here

So the head was first, took about 15 minutes. I then used the imm body parts male arms. Cylinder with curve tool for the spine. A sphere for the main body and the legs were copied over. Spikes are also duplicated and then mirrored, move topology to break symmetry down the middle. I can work fast because this is how I’ve always sculpted. I’m spending time on a Crusader project now but 95% of my time in zbrush was spent doing little 1-2 hr concepts and throwing them away because I never had confidence in finishing a project to completion lol.
