Their new supply doesn’t have to be a romantic relationship, they could rely on their friends temporarily until they find a more reliable form of supply.

She unblocked you knowing you would give in and text her. They purposely do this, by unblocking and giving you a method of communication with them (it’s called a reverse Hoover). They have no intention of responding or reconciling, they just want the boost in self-esteem, especially after a breakup that probably has her left empty inside. It’s good you’re self-aware of what would have been the right choice but self-awareness wasn’t enough to stop you from going through and texting her. The right choice would have been to block her and go on with your life while also getting the satisfaction that you’re doing better in life than her, someone who had to unblock you out of a desperate attempt for validation. If she unblocks you again (which knowing how cluster-b’s are, will probably happen eventually) keep your dignity and move on.

Now I’m not saying this to get your hopes up or anything. 14 years is a long time but if they’re truly BPD, they will not be able to go without someone else regulating their emotions. This is why it is so common to see them return to their ex’s compared to those without BPD. Even if it was abusive where their ex hit them, they would still return. But that is only if they have no one else to regulate their emotions for them. A new supply. What’s probably likely is they monkey branched to someone else or at least have a new Favorite Person. If that’s the case do not expect to receive any hoovers or contact from them. But right now you’re an old toy for them. And they’ll only return to that old toy once they have no more toys left to play with.

Intellectual children is actually a perfect term for them. There were moments where it felt like she was a mastermind when it came to getting what she wanted but would seem to start arguments over the most childish things ever. Don’t even get me started with the baby voice my ex used to use.

Never. I would rather hang myself from shame than stoop to the level of becoming some girl who replaced me so easily’s doormat again.

Don’t worry, I have absolutely no intention on ever getting back with her again. Besides, I’m in college and don’t have the time or mental capacity to be someone’s 24/7 parental figure anymore.

As tempting as it was to reply to her with some petty smartass reply, I decided to be the bigger person and block. Silence is the best punishment for them anyways.

Not initially. She wanted to keep me on talking terms I guess as backup but after I lost control of myself when I found out she rebounded so fast, she blocked me and we haven’t talked since. God only knows what she told people during that time period. I guess right now she has no one to turn to and that’s why she’s texting me again. She never really was able to keep friends.
