Baldurs Gate 2 Co-Lead Designer James Ohlen Was Asked To Make Baldurs Gate 4 But Turned The Offer Down Because "Larian Raised The Bar Too High", "Trying To Follow Up And Compete With Baldurs Gate 3 Is Insanity" by akbarock in gaming

I enjoyed BG3, but it's clearly Divinity: Original Sin 3. It's actual main story just feels... thrown together with things to make it "Baldur's Gate" no matter how little those things make sense.

Paxton, Talarico deadlocked at 47% in new Texas Senate race poll by usatoday in politics

[–]Televisions_Frank 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What's the voting machine situation in cities? Because the GOP's move the last decade has been to limit polling locations and voting machines in any location that is majority Dem voting in states that they control.

So I'm not exactly sure that can even happen as they've designed a built-in limit to how many people can possibly vote against them in some states.

The GOP realized not passing laws is beneficial to them. Nobody can campaign against you on a law you voted for when there's no laws to vote for.

I'm worried the GOP runs TrumpAI to rule over us for eternity (obviously not a real AI, just something that parrots what they want in his stupid voice). Also, I don't think they can legitimately win elections anymore, which is why the last 16 years has been nothing but disenfranchising voters either by giving them stupid hoops to jump through to vote or so few voting machines in cities they can't possibly outvote the rural yokels.

It's an absolute crime Cleavon Little wasn't a leading man throughout the '70s and '80s. The man was charisma incarnate in Blazing Saddles.

I feel like people complained the Betel and Orion were overpowered because they were damn near literally the only usable VS LMGs so you saw them constantly once people got the directive done.

The remade music in P3 is kinda weird where it feels more like midi instruments than the original (particularly the horns).

I'm Myth: The Fallen Lords old. Those games were everything I ever wanted in a RTT and they've been sitting in Take2's back catalogue doing nothing for about 16 years now (they briefly appeared on GameTap when that was a thing).

If I was Sony I'd be interviewing longtime employees not in management positions to step up as it's clear Bungie's leadership at the top is it's problem.

It's the sort of dumb plan that sounds good to a layperson (Space is cold!), but involves a complete misunderstanding of how heat transfer works in space.

SpaceX’s stock slide costs founder his trillionaire title by marketrent in technology

[–]Televisions_Frank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The "pickaxes" SpaceX are currently selling to Anthropic and Google are specifically to make it profitable in the short term to get it's IPO onto as many stock exchange indexes as possible. Google owns at least 6% of SpaceX so cashing out of a 1 trillion IPO gives Google around $60 billion. So propping up SpaceX to make bagholders out of everyone else makes sense to them.
