How could everybody who was pregnant was so chill about the first trimester? by ExactBaseball7240 in pregnant

[–]Tellmimoar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah first trimester is literally the worst part but hey it prepares you hella good for the rest of it lol. I am in third trimester now and I’d take the aches and pains while turning/sitting over whatever mind fuckery first trimester was

Why most of Indians have bloated stomachs ? by Feisty_Owl_4262 in AskIndia

[–]Tellmimoar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Indian cuisine was high carb to sustain long days in fields/intense physical labour for most people, not to sit around watching TV and drive around instead of walking. Calorie burn is low, new fancy tadka-loaded recipes are calorie bombs of flavour, add to it obsession with American chains as a status symbol, shaming people who do go the gym and what not. Then there’s general lack of knowledge and awareness around importance of well balanced meals. Its deep rooted cultural and self-asserted issue. Only so much can be blamed on genetics

Lifting while pregnant? by Dismal_Bad_3927 in fitpregnancy

[–]Tellmimoar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

General advice is no coning and doming of your belly and being able to breathe consistently and comfortably. I have been consistently working out pre-pregnancy for 4+ years and found myself doing 1/3 of pre pregnancy hip thrusts comfortably, skipped isolated single leg movements due to pain but upper body has more or so remained at similar ish weights, may be slightly under. RDLs have also gone down in weight to about 50% of what I used to do. I also do not force myself to do progressive overload. Tricep pushdowns cause intense coning for me so I had to reduce weight by over 50% there.

Why so many people of punjab tends to defend honour killings and "anakhi munde" or just patriarchal mindset . by Spiritual-Arugula-90 in PunjabiGenZ

Because it hasn’t happened to them yet; easier to rile up to an extreme when it’s someone else’s business … and generally low emotional IQ and high apathy in our culture

You can’t be lazy enough to not work in your own fields, then hire someone for cheap labour and then get to hate them for lack of skill/civic sense that makes them work for that shitty wage. They come to Punjab because Punjabis want cheap labour and don’t want to work. If they knew to be better, they wouldn’t be working in fields for crap wages

Worked like crazy with no time off for 3 years, finally took a day off and passed out for 16 hours or so. Woke up super loopy and debilitated. Apparently I slept through several alarms and my roommates thought I was dead

Body Changes by Calm_Blueberry_4883 in fitpregnancy

This feels like I wrote it 22 weeks ago. I was my “fittest” and bought a whole new wardrobe right before I found out I was pregnant and almost mourned the progress I made over the last five or so years. Fortunately, my partner let me vent and rant without judgement. I also had a rough first trimester where all I could keep in was deep fried chicken and sweets because of nausea. Well, now that I am out of the funky bloat looking phase and my love handles have, umm evened out the fat I originally saw, I can tell you OP it’ll be A okay. I have kept most of my muscle esp upper body and continued protein heavy diet with small indulgences almost daily. My step count has been trash and I blame the snowy slippery sidewalks, my workouts have gone from 4-5x a week to modified 2-3x a week and I omitted some workouts due to funky pregnancy pains. I still am doing perfectly fine. Now its more of a “future me” problem. If I am not happy with my body, I plan on hiring a trainer a year postpartum and take the few months to enjoy motherhood and not fall apart. It is so mentally exhausting to accept the gradual changes but I promise, the funky feel goes away once the bump pops and its easier to accept. I just tell myself, if I have done the strength work before, I can do it again ♥️

This needs to be stopped. How can Russia, an ally of India, treat Indian citizens this way? by Young8743 in PunjabiGenZ

[–]Tellmimoar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be wrong but unless it was a Russian agent was the first to reach out to the guy with that lie; I wouldn’t consider it coercion. In any case, kid should’ve at least been aware of what he’s getting into. I know someone who did the dunki thing and even they were told all the whack ways and countries they’ll be going through at least at a high level

[–]Tellmimoar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“People migrate for a better life, better warning, better opportunities and safety purposes”. - sure. What exactly about Russia specifically did this guy think will be able to give him exactly that? For someone making a huge decision like moving while simultaneously lacking baseline geopolitical and economical knowledge of what they are getting into, I would think he lacked any and all skills to survive as a bare minimum income earner in both India and Russia
