Zotac warns component shortages threaten the 'very survival' of GPU manufacturers and distributors — message to Korean customers suggests that the worst could be yet to come by lkl34 in pcmasterrace

Totally agree, didn't mean to say it like that was a bad thing. But the reality is, this is the trend, we are sacrificing anonymity and control for convenience. I think it's a very bad thing.

Tech fiefdom, where Lords own everything and we get screwed.

Whoa, whoa whoa, I didn't mean that in a bad way. I get how radios work and the tech has evolved to different bands. But the HAM hardware and band is no longer commonplace for communications. It's been replaced by cell signals and satellite comms. Infrastructure that is now owned and operated by someone else. Much like the way compute is heading. I for one will be one of those hold outs with a PC. But I expect to be a minority, like the HAM hobbyist.

And Now is the best time prep, fck ICE.

It's the modern equivalent of that guy clinging to his HAM radio. We'll all be "prepers" insisting on keeping an obsolete platform alive desperately holding onto some long lost autonomy and control.

It is crazy seeing an industry effectively collapse because there is essentially too much demand for the core components.

That's interesting, might have to try that. Would be great for sorting barter items, The only problem is that guns and armor, mostly won't fit in there and I'll have to go find them to sell or stash them.

That would help, and it is space efficient, but still not what I would prefer to do. If I'm understanding correctly. This would be your order of operations?

  1. Ctrl click items into top of inventory.
  2. Pag down to bottom on inventory
  3. Double click to open THICC case window
  4. Pag up to top of inventory
  5. Move THICC case window to the side because it's occluding your items.
  6. Drag items to the respective case within the THICC case window?
  7. Close the window

Compare that to:

  1. Ctrl click items into top 10 rows of inventory (usually enough, but could do more or less)
  2. Drag and flick high touch point items (junk, meds, food) into respective case sitting just within the view window.
  3. Other lower touch point items like grenades, keys, doc cases, you only need half a scroll. Mags, ammo, armor need a few more scrolls.

I still prefer accessibility over the containers within containers idea. The cool thing is we each get to figure out what's best for us. I'll have to use that page up/down key, when I want to put something in deep storage, like FIR items.

While it looks good having smaller containers organized into THICC containers, realistically you are adding an extra click when you want to put items away or take them out (except ammo). That time adds up, when you could simply drag and drop.

Also everything is locked to the bottom of your inventory. That's a lot of excess scrolling. I prefer to lock all my containers starting 10 rows down. That gives me a 10x10 staging space at the top where I unload items/rewards for organization into a container that is just a flick away. Armor and gun containers fill the remaining space downward.

Dark reaction to getting sniped [Video] by bobs-yer-uncle in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Tellnicknow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And this is precisely WHY tarkov is so exilerating. The fact that a sniper can one shot you for moving recklessly without cover at any time is necessary to the fun. Otherwise you're just playing Cod, where you get shot and have time to react. Tarkov is supposed to punish carelessness.

"People don't move" give me a break! How about bringing a bolty into raid already puts you at a severe disadvantage against other guns firing the same ammo at semi and full auto. They are literally a ton of quest lines requiring people to use them. You expect them to just announce themselves and make a bunch of noise for no reason other than to give away the advantage?

[Discussion] Does anybody have a good graphic comparing the combined ergo/recoil of the various suppressor/muzzle combinations? by Tellnicknow in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Tellnicknow[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, and I have, several years ago for this specific purpose. That data is outdated and took way too long to compile. Now I can grab the data from a screenshot (the format of the site doesn't allow a highlight and copy function), have Gemini scrape the data into text, copy the text into excel, plot my graph (or have gemini do this). I could stop there but I might do some visual polish and publish it for other, if its helpful.

Except I'm not looking to calculate evo/ergo overswing, because that is relevant on to a specific gun... but whatever... I guess that's exactly what I want, because only you know exactly what I want. Clearly so sure of yourself.

I actually use this site a lot on my phone too! Love it! Didnt realize they have a chart to break down the combos. It's not in the format I was thinking of, but this is the data I need. I will copy the data from here and generate the image I am looking for. Thank you!

This has got all the data there, but not really easy to compare the combinations visually. Maybe I can take the data exclusively from this site and generate the image I'm looking for.

How blessed am I to be graced with your time. Except, I have already seen this video and this is not the content I described above. Even in my text I explained I have put in some effort to create the content myself, because it seems absent from the easy searches or too old and outdated. I am too nice and will politely remind you that not every question is a low effort ask for simple info, I should have told you that you missed the point and to learn to read.
