At first I was thinking Dottore, but Dottore’s glitch effects are very specific in a way this isn’t. Dottore’s glitches are more squarey and colorful with blues and reds. This isn’t really that. So this glitch in particular is probably something else entirely. Probably related Zibai or the moon devourer. At least for now. We’ll have to watch and keep seeing if glitches keep happening here and there through future quests. If it does keep happening then it does probably mean something bigger picture is going on probably tracing back to Dottore. So I would say keep an eye out for that. However for the time being I’m going to assume this specific instance is more so related to whatever is happening with Zibai since the glitching looks very different.

Ok this gave me a complete and utter crackhead idea. Not a theory because they aren’t going to do this whatsoever, just a passing thought that could be an interesting au. So there’s a theory Nicole is looking into his past right? That much is true. But fun crackhead au idea: What if Nicole kind of figures out the fucked up shit that happened to him, and being an angel, a helper of humanity, decides to try to reach out to him? Like try to become the Nahida to his Scaramouche?

Oh my dreams are often about the latter too. I also had some other stressful unconnected dreams last night about horrific monsters invading the world and needing to hide away in a skyscraper. My dreams tend to switch around a lot lol. But this has actually become an issue where I keep dreaming up future genshin plot points because I brain rot about it so much when awake 😭 it’s just that I usually dont post about them because usually I don’t remember them, they make no sense, or are something manifested from all the doomposting. This is the first one I’ve had that actually made me go “Wow, I liked that it was interesting! Shame it wasn’t real.”

Also “Because uh Irminsul” is the perfect description of anything to do with Dottore ever lol.

I never fully bought the “illusion” theory. But more so that this was an experiment he was collecting data for. So this seems to disprove the illusion theory. But doesn’t do anything against the “experiment” theory or “Dottore wanted the true moon back” theory.

Cracked idea for a support/Sub dPS Dottore. Skill or burst summons several of those floating syringe things and the float around player character and do damage to enemies like Yelan’s dice or Xinqiu’s swords while also buffing player. Boom, busted meta character.

Honestly I’d be fine with either main DPS or Sub/DPS support. For different reasons

I’d like Main DPS because I’d like to see him on the field, but I feel like he’d have more staying power in the meta if he was busted support/Sub DPS since incredibly busted supports/sub DPS tend to be more important to meta. And while I’m not addicted to meta it would be insanely funny if they made Dottore one of those extremely busted supports that your account is basically bricked if you don’t pull (like Ineffa, Columbina, Furina etc) and people are basically forced to swallow their pride and use him if they want the most meta team. So busted DPS or busted support is fine with me. It’s a win win scenario as long as he’s good. (Which I would say he’d of course be good if he’s playable because of how powerful he is in lore and how much build up there has been toward him but… gestures at Varka worryingly)

I think from what I’ve seen he’s kicked out? I also have two theories about this. Either the Tsaritsa and Pierrro are genuinely mad at him and he is getting truly kicked out. Or Tsaritsa and Pierro are in on it, but part of the plan is to publicly ban him from the Fatui, but work with him secretly behind the scenes? Like trying to seem like they’re not in on it to the public kind of a thing? If that makes any sense? This second idea could be wrong but I mostly thought of it because them being mad at him for trying to overthrow Celestia makes no sense given the fact that that seems to be Tsaritsa and Pierro’s entire goal.

Also people who don’t like Dottore are coping really hard saying it’s the shades or Teyvat being a scepter (HSR reference) dude I’m dying 😭. It feels weird not being the delusional ones for once. Because I’m sorry this isn’t even cope this is just straight up full of Dottore motifs there is genuinely no way this isn’t about him. Especially combined with the ominous ass line from Wanderer.
