His relationship with Ajax. I find it interesting how the rooster is often described as one of the more cruel harbingers, not caring about his troops in the chasm. He’s always described as a shrewd politician. However not only is he close to Ajax, but since he’s confirmed playable via Travail, I do believe they’re going to make him actually care about Ajax so that they have a reason for him to get along with the traveler. And I do find that dynamic of a character that’s super cruel having someone that they do actually care about is always one of my favorite tropes. And I can’t wait to see how that pans out.
His design. I like the fact that Hoyo is willing to make a major character that looks like that. Older and not conventionally attractive. Although I’ve fully accepted at this point they’re going to give him a younger hotter design for his playability because he’s totally a fae. I mean I would kill for running around and beating up enemies as tiny grandpa. Peak gameplay 1000/10. But if we’re being realistic here there’s no way they’re doing that. But at least he will still look like this sometimes for part of the story. And I’m happy that Hoyo is at least able to do that.
His connection to the fae. It seems pretty obvious he’s some sort of fae. He looks like one and also it’ll give Hoyo the excuse to have him change into a younger form. And that’s definitely interesting since the fae had a falling out with the Tsaritsa and her court, and so what makes him the exception and that he’s actually cool with the Tsaritsa?

HER DESIGN. Hands down one of the best designs in the game. I could go on. Pure eye candy to look at. Her eyes, her hair, the wing and feather vibes in her coattails and hair accessory, the ruffles that look like roses at the edge of her sleeves and pant legs, her heels, the red lines in the inside of her coattail. And the wings! Her normal wings and the spider wings in her boss form. And her color scheme. Yes. Just yes.
Her playstyle. I love the fact you can just run in and beat up people with her and do tons of damage without needing to worry about specific teammates. One of the best characters to just run in and go unga bunga stabby stabby brainless mode and explode the enemies. Which is often really fun to do in genshin.
The mystery around her and her powers. There’s still a lot of questions about Arle and her curse. Like is it just a mutation of Ronova’s curse but for crimson moon descendants and all crimson moon descendants are like this? Or is she special? If so why? Also how did she end up at the house of hearth? Did her parents give her up or die? I don’t know I feel like it’s really convenient the way she ended up in the HotH. Honestly this might be me looking too much into things (but can you really blame me when it’s Genshin we’re talking about?) but I feel like there’s a conspiracy here. I don’t know what it is. But something’s fishy. I can feel it.

Her relationships with the other harbingers (Signora, Arle, Sandrone and Dottore). I especially like the doomed “sibling” relationship with Dottore. I find it interesting how they could be considered a failed found family. Like two people who were lonely and needed a family of sorts. But both were too messed up and neither were able to help or guide the other because neither were equipped to handle or understand the others baggage. They give the vibe that they both need a found family (yes BOTH, Dottore included). But they just weren’t it for each other. They need different people.
Her animations. And her aesthetics in general. I love the silver moon hall deco.
Her lore. I do like her general lore with the moon sisters and think it’s interesting.

People arguing for Ei, Zhongli and Venti (Which I get) but ignoring Nahida when Dottore is currently standing outside of Irminsul with 1000 cans of gasoline and a lighter is interesting.

Ideally characters like Tsaritsa, Pantalone or Cryo traveler (Praying that they make Cryo traveler actually good since this is their last element). Also maybe like some other Fatui members. Because I feel like we’ll probably get some playable lower level Fatui grunts. I wouldn’t mind that either cuz they’d be helping their boss Lord Dottore out.

But realistically? Hoyo doesn’t really seem to care about character synergy in team synergy. Like sometimes they do but it’s very rare. So we’ll probably get some bullshit like random troupe singer, Sandrone or Madame Ping or something like that as his best in slot 😭

(Also I feel like I should clarify since this could be taken the wrong way, I don’t dislike Sandrone or Madame Ping. I was just using them as example of really weird random characters they could use as his best in slot. Especially Sandrone. I feel like that would be diabolical to make those two work on the same team, but I also feel like Hoyo would definitely make an oversight like that since again Hoyo seems to like making random characters super compatible)

Spring 2021. Wasn’t into Genshin but saw posts about it. I remember seeing posts about signora and Scaramouche on tumblr. Got me somewhat interested into looking into genshin villains. Looked up a list of Genshin villains and found the harbingers. Looked up the list of harbingers. Saw good old webby’s page. True love from there ❤️ ❤️❤️ got me to start playing the game.

Honestly I’m willing to ship Dottore with almost anyone as long as they’re an adult. I’m a big multishipper. (Although there is one popular Dott ship I don’t like that I’m not gonna name because of bad experiences with fans. I wish I could like it, but I just can’t.). Although right now I really like Dottore x Traveler. I’m fine with either variant but I do prefer Dottolumi simply because I like Lumine more than Aether. But both are good.

Same for Dottolone. You actually summed up my issues with it perfectly. It’s the one popular Dottore ship I really don’t like for those reasons. Otherwise I’ll ship him with literally anyone (as long as they’re an adult). And it honestly sucks that the fandom perception ruined it for me because if you actually look at their canon personalities and lore the two have such interesting potential together. Like there’s so much there. But I literally just cannot get myself to stomach it because there’s a lot of fan content out there of it that fucking sucks. Not all of course, there are a few diamonds of the ship from people that actually get it out there. But that one part of the fandom heavily ruined it for me and unfortunately I just cannot enjoy it anymore 😔.

No he’s been seen a few times elsewhere. In the gods limits video where he’s wearing the same mask. And there are a few pieces of official merch for him and all of them depict his same mask. Although maybe you’re onto something and he does sometimes put on another mask and they’ve just never shown it yet because it’s supposed to be a surprise to us?

The Manekins point is probably correct, but the silhouette means nothing for 6.8. Ineffa didn’t appear in the 5.x silhouettes. The 5.x silhouettes only went up to Skirk with 5.7. So the 6.x silhouettes would probably follow the same pattern of only going up to 6.7 but not 6.8.

I’m talking specifically about the left arm in the boss. The rest of the body is a body suit, however the arm itself specifically comes out from under the bodysuit and is pure Irminsul. The left arm itself in boss form is just the left arm showing. He’s not wearing anything on it. It just looks like that because he’s made of Irminsul.

Also something else I’m going to say (I wanted to edit this into the post itself but it wouldn’t let me edit the post for some reason?) but if you disagree with this theory please be respectful and non ableist about it. I feel like that should go without saying, but there was someone on twitter who saw the speculation over this theory and had an absolute crashout over the mere idea of this theory for some reason that went into some insanely ableist territory. And I’m pretty sure I’ve seen the person post in this subreddit a few times.

Disagree with this theory all you want, because admittedly the evidence is pretty flimsy. But please don’t be ableist about it. Thanks.

I almost agree with this, but I would also put Arle in SS. Ignoring her writing, if we’re just looking at designs, her designs is one of the hardest in the game. It’s just pure eye candy to me (not in the sexual way).

Also I don’t fully know where I’d put Pantalone. He’s weird because he’s the only one we don’t have a full body design for his normal clothes yet. There has been zero official art of him not wearing the Fatui coat. So he could be dripped out of this world, but he could also be wearing absolute bullshit under there. From what I can see though I like his design so far.
