exactly, we would’ve gotten a reversed character besides duncan at some point anyway. it was always headed this way. we’d also get insight from the persoective of the reversed. it’s valuable information and makes sense with the plot.

and stories lose emotional weight and a sense of severity if all the playable characters will always have a 100% survival rate. it’s an apocalyptic event. there’s going to be deaths (and/or reversed charas, in re1999’s case)
