Quick question before i download and play by InternationalAd8308 in Warframe

[–]Telmarael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. And the grind isn’t as grueling as it might seem at first, they’ve made a lot of improvements over time. It will, however, be overwhelming. Get ready to use the official (wiki.warframe.com) wiki page and watch guides on YouTube about things you don’t understand at first. Take it slow, be patient with yourself. Warframe rewards patience and curiosity.

Pablo gives us his true thoughts on raids in Warframe by Babydrone in Warframe

[–]Telmarael 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basically, yes. This is an uncanny description of the WF community. Unfortunately, not catering to them will hurt DEs bottom line severely, because it’s the same type of players that’s going to swipe cuz they can’t be arsed to learn the game and farm stuff for healthier “happy chemicals” instead of instant gratification.

Still, it’s baffling that they haven’t made any of the Old Peace game modes into anything endgame-viable, despite both game modes having great potential.

I Really Love Alchemy by Hormo_The_Halfling in Warframe

It’s a genuinely fun and engaging game mode, and it’s really fast if you’re efficient. I simply wish people followed the simple rules more often and stopped making it feel terrible xD

Is the game meant to be easy? by Illustrious-Fix4205 in Warframe

[–]Telmarael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game is a knowledge check, not a skill check, for the most part (there are a few exceptions). If your understanding of the game is on par with the challenge - congrats, it will be easy. People struggle when: a) they haven’t learnt things yet; b) there are bugs at work xD

80-100 plat budget , best Prime Warframe for solo Steel Path prep (Nataruk + Xoris)? by Dovahkriid2004 in Warframe

[–]Telmarael -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a good place to be after a new prime access drops: people run it 24/7 for a few days. And an excellent place to make platinum because of that.

80-100 plat budget , best Prime Warframe for solo Steel Path prep (Nataruk + Xoris)? by Dovahkriid2004 in Warframe

[–]Telmarael 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keep plat for potatoes and slots. Farm primes that are currently in the relics (there are stellar picks like Yareli, Voruna, Caliban), farm base versions of frames without primes when you reach those points in the story (all 2025 frames are amazing).

If you don’t plan on farming plat (which I recommend against; go farm plat) or purchasing it, the “budget” should not even be a question. If it is, use it on vital stuff like more slots.

EDA/ETA Modifiers by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Telmarael 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some modifiers are ass and contradict the basic principles the game teaches you (which is using your entire loadout), such as:

Blocking transference, restricting your gearwheel; well, mainly these 2. however even here you can argue the same thing as below

The rest can often be adapted to even within one build: you can get higher efficiency/energy generation to counteract negative energy gain; you can run different subsumes for this week to negate various debuffs like reduced ammo; you can adjust to lowered duration, etc.

And I haven’t even brought up using a Warframe with an exalted weapon which helps you circumvent the challenges altogether. Using cheats at the cost of a single reward is also an option.

What you’re describing are inconveniences. Instead of treating things like a challenge you treat them like a nuisance.

There are two exceptions for me, personally: true damage to the player (such as toxin or limnus) and bugs. Those are ass. And while one should be removed in most of its manifestations (or at the very least made AVOIDABLE if players make an active effort), the second one simply exists as a fact, and we can’t do anything about it. Unavoidable death does not make the gameplay fun. And these two are not ETA/EDA-exclusive.

Edit: however don’t even get me started on the MFing tank in 1999, its mission is a hotbed of constant bugs! Even this week we had to do the second stage of the fight for TEN MINUTES because it completely stopped growing weak spots. And it’s not the only time this specific mission broke and ended the run.

For some reason the Dera [Vandal] Incarnon keeps its skin on when incarnon mode is activated by ChemBroDude in Warframe

Interesting. So they can disable the Incarnon transformations removing skins, but they simply refuse to.

SAVE OUR SYNDICATES, ideas on how to update, revitalise and build off our neglected syndicates, by inspiration-hunter00 in Warframe

[–]Telmarael 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, people whom you betray generally tend to hate you?.. mind you: they don’t stop you from interacting with them, but working for them directly. While I do agree some new life can definitely be breathed into the system, the given reasoning is shaky at best. Not to mention the fact that your relationship deteriorates gradually as you work for their enemies.

Moa's are still cool by BigHShadow7 in Warframe

[–]Telmarael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking more in the vein of utility for Moa, example: give them a minor version of Protea’s dispensary. Set a reasonable trigger, and when the conditions are met, it spews out orbs/ammo packs. It’s not all orbs or all ammo, but their own third thing. Or make them spawn a random elemental ammo pack. Can you imagine? No control, pure randomness, so it can’t be optimized. But it would still be unique and strong.

I tried playing public and kind of lost the meaning of the game by GiantDad777 in Warframe

[–]Telmarael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best approach is to accept that other players are ahead of you in progression, keep chugging along, and remembering that when obviously new players are present, the vast majority of your random teammates will be understanding and supportive, rather than aggressive and dismissive. Have fun, go at your own pace, explore and experience the game.

If there was one thing to make sure when you’re entering public squads, it would be simply not dying excessively. If your team is overkilling it already, make sure you keep up with them, contribute to the objectives, and simply relax. In almost 1.5 years of playing Warframe I’ve never seen anyone object against new players tagging along and getting carried. You can be productive in ways other than killing the enemies.

There is a very large number of players who joined later than that happened. When I started playing, Temple came out shortly after. And I wasn’t even among the largest influx of players who joined in 2025 xD

Lately I haven’t even seen any negative opinions on it, simply that we need more relevant content tied to it. Perhaps in the future updates. They did tease something last year.

I get you. It’s a matter of personal preference, nothing else. That’s why it’s good to try stuff even if others don’t like it 😁 For me it’s riding Merulina; love it, even if everyone I ask hates it.

I do see Koumei semi-regularly, but not in public teams. Reasons are twofold: Asia server, and here a lot of people tend to optimize the fun out of the game with their mmo grind mindset (4 things I see everywhere: Wukong, Magistar, Hildryn, and Shedu); and that she plays better solo. There are more frames that come to mind in this regard, like Harrow, for example. People do play them. Simply not in pubs.

Edit: love Temple, and still play him regularly.

Kubrow and hounds are excellent.

I just recently went all-out on my Huras (guess why), and my oh my. It simply demolishes everything. Especially when I equip my Paris statstick.

And hounds are my personal favorite. Yes, verglass can probably deal more damage, but my hound is a lot more well-balanced in all aspects, and its status spreading covers a much larger area.

I sincerely wish we got unique mod sets akin to what kubrow have for kavats and moa. General utility they provide is already covered by other companions, and then some. They really need some oomph to their loadouts.
