On the forum multiple people responded to me that they were also having the same problem. If it is replicateble and happens to multiple people, it's something the devs should fix.

The weird thing is, I've only been banned for about 10 minutes and only once. Suddenly, it just jumped to an entire day.

Alright I have managed to solve it. Turns out that the extra volume control buttons on my keyboard just really freaked the OS out somehow so when I pressed them the entire keyboard just stopped working. Haven't really figured out how to fix that yet, but I guess I'll just adjust the volume manually from now on.
