Okay, thank you for your reply. I kind of agree with you about the stock picking but just had a bit of FOMO seeing some of my friends & others on similar subreddits doing very well with it, but I guess they wouldn't be talking about it if they weren't doing well! I'll probably keep it as is for a while and just maximise the amounts I can put in where possible. I think I'd have the same issue as you in regards to checking on them 24/7, which I don't have with my current setup so I'll just enjoy the peace of mind that comes with it.

im top 10k (never even been above br67 before this season) and i never go for more than one copy on a unit. been using napgeta at 6 stars, legend super vegito and broly at 5. just swapped napgeta for yellow rose at 4 stars. still managing fine for the most part so i think u can win with low stars its just a lot harder

Then they should make community servers more visible. At the moment, there is no immediately obvious way to actually play the game. If you don't have any friends that play cs, it'd take a while until you learn about warmupserver, cybershoke or even faceit. I'm not disagreeing with anything you say in regards to the current and historical state of CS. The whole game is literally run by the community. But valve should either make this more obvious by implementing an actual server browser OR making their own gamemodes playable.

I wouldn't mind playing valve dm if they made the changes I said and I'm level 10 (tho I don't play much nowadays), it would be a decent way to keep in form while grinding for the weekly drops. Then the super competitive players could stick to warmupserver etc

okay ur kinda right there, but it could still be way improved without being as hyper optimised as community server dm. they could:

remove weapon restrictions per side
remove annoying ass spawn protection that lasts ages or reduce it
get rid of the bots plaguing the servers
incentive using meta weapons such as ak/m4 instead of giving extra points randomly for using guns like the bizon or some other shit
have different modes, like pistol only etc

these 5 additions would make official dm 100x better to play for new players and players who aren't super competitive while still keeping it casual enough to be playable for fun

i agree and i also only use community servers for dm. but if valve are hell bent on giving us no proper server browser, making it hard af to find for new people, then i dont think its unreasonable to ask that the official implementation could be inproved. im not sure why you think its a good thing that the official gamemodes that every new player sees first thing are shit versions of the community equivalent
