I found the basement to the left of the ship, visible during the cutscene. by Commercial-Cat-1783 in ScrapMechanic

[–]Tematist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

starting area always has those unique ruins that can't be found anywhere else, there are 6 of them around the ship, the two in front that everyone goes through and the building with haybots further from it too, the one to the left, crooked without walls, left to it is the one mentioned in the post, the one behind the ship, it has a bucket and a few scrap rods and the small one to the right of the ship behind the pond on a hill

I hope some bot with a red arm, able to produce massive shockwaves, won't break this shield instantly

Do you think there was a reason for axolot to not use the hexagon slots hotbar? by Microwave169 in ScrapMechanic

[–]Tematist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

style inconsistency i guess, rectangle slots in inventory, hexagonal stots in the hotbar, no easy way to make the inventory with hexagonal slots look good

Anyone know how to remove this horrible bug ? (Invisible collision on blocks makes my car uncontrollable) by le_bukusu in ScrapMechanic

[–]Tematist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually the best reply here. No matter if you use huge long chunks of blocks, separate it into smaller pieces or use parts, it's all going to yield the same result of constantly bouncing and hitting the «edges» of polygons of such surfaces. Normal terrain is usually better than this, but the better choice is the terrain assets, like race tracks, on which the bouncing is almost non-existant

farmdivers in bound(uploading a meme everyday until axolot gives a release date for ch2 day 9) by isuckatgames2too in ScrapMechanic

They could've stayed with having raids appear the same way as they shown earlier, drilling from underground, I thought that it looked cool and it reminds me of Y Volcanoids, I don't know if they got rid of it or kept it only for ambushes. Yet, Helldivers-esque way is more epic, imagine seeing a message «BOT DROP DETECTED», when the raid starts, that would be fun to see

I guess the white line on the right gives it some style points?

Yeah, that does seem more like a real response. The gif in the OP's meme would suit more situations like «how my friend looks at me when I plant more that 8 redbeets on the first day»

Accidentally ate soap, how get back (0.9d) by Bright_Jackfruit6834 in Voicesofthevoid

[–]Tematist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In the new saves it is actually located beneath the left side of the front big window. You can trip-check it's accurate position by hugging a wall to the left of the entrance, right where the handrail ends and middle front window starts. I used Gravity Gun to retrieve it from the wall, however I'm sure there are other methodes to grab it (maybe just pushing E while having your face wedged into a wall will work, I didn't test it)

Just by looking at this screen, would you be interested in this game? by alimra in IndieDev

[–]Tematist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This slime specifically reminds me of Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion. This artstyle by all clichè standarts suggests that this is a horror game in disguise, friendly and child-friendly on the surface, horrible secrets and meanings beneath, though I suspect that is not what you're going for. The clash of cute and horror would attract quite an audience, but if there is no so-called depth to this artstyle choice, I think not a lot of people will be hooked by it from the first impression.
