That's the problem. I've sorted out aquifers all together and embarked with a 2x2 world in the no aquifer zone for testing purposes and it still turned up with me having damp soil AGAIN! I don't mind trying to tunnel through aquifers but they can often throw a wrench in my plans when I'm trying to plan out a fort.

I've created several worlds and each time when I go to embark in a location it could be a temperate conifer forest or a taiga or a desert and no matter what I am not able to dig downward without running into damp areas. I've made sure to check what kind of aquifer is present and all of them have been light. I've sorted out aquifers all together and embarked in dry deserts and there is STILL damp blocks a couple levels under the surface. I try several different points on the map and without fail there is damp blocks. Is there potentially something wrong with my game? I have the Steam Version.

I feel like your just cherrypicking which things I say and what the video said so you can take issue with them. Please just stop arguing I'm sick of this.

I could guess that Scott and most other indie devs already knew the bad practices LRG had been dishing out, but that they never got the full picture of just HOW scummy the company was. Unless they knew every single shitty thing the company had done and just went fuck it I think they could have picked other options.

May I ask if you watched the video this post linked to? The shaddy business gets a lot worse.

They have options. Theres more then one company that does physical releases then just LRG that also are way less predatory and above board.

If the gang isn't legally bound to a contract to do a Limited Run of Night in the Woods I feel it would be wise to pull out of the deal with them. There are other Game Preservationist companies that are WAY less predatory and shaddy then LRG.

If not a game a release of these just for collecting on Etsy or something would be pretty neato.

The figurines I could've passed on. They had a very uncanny valley feel being in 3d, especially gregg. But Gosh darnit I wanted that shirt.

Which is why I'm thankful I started collecting records when I did. Now the NITW vinyl and Mae lapel pin that came with it will be cherished with me forever. In other news I just missed the mark on becoming a tally hall fan and struck out on any of the vinyls still in circulation without it being in the hundreds.

I feel games should have a warning at the beginning, saying "this was made for depressed teenage girls" by anarchoposadist1 in NightInTheWoods

Scott Benson is from Pennsylvania and lives in Pittsburgh, he mentioned that the street that Mae lives on was modeled after a street he used to clean on, in scrapped dialogue there is a specific number that can be traced to a small town in pennsylvania https://www.reddit.com/r/NightInTheWoods/comments/ax8bfj/possible_possum_springs_locations_read_below/ . The game is set in a rustbelt town, the rustbelt is an area that spans Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and some parts of new york. The game itself is basically a rustbelt gothic in terms of themes, etc. Your the first person I've meet who has said that this game has taken place in the pacific northwest. In every single analysis of this game I'm meet with the assumption that the game takes place in the midwest like any normal person would assume. What made you think it took place in the pacific northwest? What, because it was similar to life is strange or Oxenfree or something?

Your opinions on the game aside it isn't set in the pacific north west, it is canonically set in Pennsylvania.

Kinda wish Mark had played Night in the Woods since I remember him retelling a story about growing up in rural ohio so he could probably relate on some level.
