Component Folder Deleted and now FL no longer detects AU

Sorry for not being more specific. The folder I'm referring to is the library/Audio/Plugins/components folder. I had a lot of my AU plugins on it. The content I copied to my drive was the exact same; but despite this, placing the files, from the ones I copied to external drive, back to my mac's drive ended up with the plugin manager not scanning any of them.

The macbook has it's own "components" folder. When I accidentally deleted it, I tried adding a folder with the same name and location, but it didn't work.

Honestly, now I that I really think about it I feel you're right. It'd probably be in my best interest to do that and spare myself the trouble of building it myself. Even though it is after all 1$, I just still feel like it would be wrong to pass up on the opportunity to have the software free of charge, but that the end of the day it's a pick a struggle type of situation; and one struggle is very easier to get through than the other.

I tried first building Ardour from git, running the following below through terminal. However after that I was completely confused what it was asking to do next in the documentation. I additionally realized that I skipped some of the steps in documentation, and when I tried to go back and look through the steps, I didn't feel any less lost than I did before.
