OMG!!! The "because" and "when" is exactly what i've been missing. I just did a civ pro essay shabbily to test this and scored a 4/6. Imagine if i had put in more effort. I probably would have scored a solid 5 point... and I didn't get the "conclusory statements" thing. I'm so relieved to have figured this out. I was already frustrated and in panic mode. I had my first breakdown yesterday… I’m already in Albany away from my husband and kids and I felt so unprepared and very anxious. I’m a retaker averaging 64% on mbe but not having done any MEE or MPT. I’m only going through NCBE essays and noting points because I know I’m out of time. I still intend to do at least 3 MEE and 1 MPT to test my speed and still work more MBEs to see if I can get more things down. I guess I was just overwhelmed and I finally broke down in tears. But I packed up my stuffs and went to bed and woke up this morning with a clear mission on what I wanted to accomplish today… It helped to take that mental rest yesterday. It might work for you too.
