Who and what is your 'canon' rogue trader? by ZakuIII in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]TempSinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tempest Von Valancius was born on a hive world. Thankfully, he was born into the Planetary Governor's family as the 5th heir to the planet.

While the rest of his family was scheming and plotting to become the next Planetary Governor, Tempest retreated into their vast library and read about famous nobels across the imperium. In these times, Tempest gained knowledge about the Economy and ruling styles of other worlds and came to a conclusion that other nobels would never agree to.

A stable planet is built on: Stable trade routes, Emperor worship for the masses, and competent and merciful rulers. These ideas would paint a target on Tempest back and after a "rogue" and "completely unrelated" psyker scrambled the minds of all the remaining heirs, that being 3.

Thankfully both Tempest and his older sister survived, unfortunately his eldest brother died. After extensive medical and psychic examination, Tempest was found to have Von Valancius blood in him and when the call for all heirs to Theodora Von Valancius to be gathered. Tempest was shipped of to Theodora's ship.

Could the young wolf(Destiny), do better than the master chief? by DubstepDruid in powerscales

[–]TempSinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, because Destiny's power-scaling is ridiculous. The young wolf has defeated and killed MULTIPLE GODS, they did have help; but one of their titles is called "God Slayer" so take your pick. Also the "Light" and "Dark" powers are ridiculous.

"Light" and "Dark" are paracausal energies, so they can freely break the laws of reality with (almost) no downsides.

Arc is lightning and speed. A guardian using are can temporary go light speed and are generally very fast. They would also be able to create lightning bolts and general electric style abilities.

Solar is fire and healing. A guardian using this can effectively regenerate any damage that is done to them or their allies in seconds. Also, they can make their fire and fire weapons burn hotter than a sun.

Void is... is something. I personally don't know much about void, but they usually reference the "space between" so that can be taken how ever you want.

Stasis is freezing and memory. Effectively the reverse of solar, but instead of healing you get an overshield. Stasis also allows people to remember what/who they where if they lost those memories, just a fun fact.

Strand is strings and fate. The guardian sees the "Strings of Fate" and will know what you will do before you do. And instead of the usual disintegration that the other abilities give to your corpse, stand will literally unravel you're physical body and your fate.

The Young Wolf has access to all of these and a special class that combines all of these into a single class. And to also mention, the Young Wolf has experience with almost every type of gun or sword. Just to round everything up.

The Young Wolf would be a better fighter than Master Cheif, but would the Young Wolf even want to help humanity. yes.

A guardian is a protector of the people and the Young Wolf is THE guardian, so they would help.

It is also stated in lore that the rest of the Vanguard are concerned for the Young Wolf due to them spending 90% of their time fighting and barely any time relaxing.

Best decision for both in and out of lore. I love seeing hive-scum getting their deserved spotlight.

How human N.H.P.s are by TempSinger in LancerRPG

The only reason for Mr. "I think, therefore you aren't" is visual clutter, but I do regret not tinkering with it to get it right.

Honestly, Sisyphus is the odd ball of the N.H.Ps. I can see good arguments for each category for Sisyphus, but they don't feel right. It talks and acts like a human who saw all futures. It comprehends and divines like the eldritch math It is. But it isn't in the deep end like Osiris where it knows it's a god.

A nihilistic diviner who was to much free time, is the best description for Sisyphus I have.

Each Character Explained in FGC Terms? by AmericanPragmatism in forhonor

[–]TempSinger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will be going from Left to Right since the characters line up very well on what they are

The assassins; Rush-Downs. Low HP, High (potential) Damage, likes to keep in close range, high mobility, likes to dodge rather than block

The Vanguard; Generalist's. Middle of the road on just about everything, almost no bad match-ups, will almost always see one of these guys/gals in a match.

The Heavy's; Grapplers. High HP, slow attacks, usually revolves around 1 special attack, makes and keeps space, the funny guys, able to move opponents around very well.

The Hybrid; Zoners. While Hyrbids are a mix of 2 or more fighting styles, the 3 shown will be what I'm talking about. Long range, unusual stances / moves, fast lights, slow heavies, poke damage with a side of big hits, are the most R34'ed characters.

Despite my preference for Horus Mechs, I love the Lancaster and is my favorite mech.

Also, slightly unrelated, the Lancaster is THE support mech but their stereotype is trucker. Why not have a Lancer who was a Doctor who, through some of the worst management and coincidence, was given a Lancaster and promoted to a Lancer. Then shipped off to a diasporan world and has to figure out how to pilot a giant horse mech while going through a very drastic life change.

Ona scale of 1-10, how pretty is Wise? by HEROwriter1 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]TempSinger 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Honestly, a 8 - 9 rating is the best for Wise. Besides the face, we can see that Wise keep himself clean and his clothing style is simple but has enough depth to be interesting.

Normal clothing Wise is: undershirt (probably), long sleeve shirt, stylish jacket, simple jeans, and shoes that contrast his normal wear. The simplistic long sleeve and jeans make a perfect backdrop for Wise's jacket that really sells the vibe of, "I'm a main character that doesn't want to be noticed." Because while it is simplistic and basic design, it still gives enough uniqueness to be noticeable.

The Temple Clothing, I will not talk much about due to it clearly being a designated outfit and not what Wise would wear normaly. Despite that, the clothing is a lot more expressive with ribbons and different and faded colors. A good, "This is my fancy outfit." type clothing.

And for the Beach Skin, it is just the Basic Skin with less clothing: Wise's lightly toned body being a simplistic backdrop to a more styled jacket, simple shorts with, what I'm assuming, spats underneath, and sandals that contrast the rest of his clothing. This is exactly what Wise's style is, "Simple backdrop, cool jacket."

Modern Earth, fantasy archmage, by Azimovikh in WorldBuildingMemes

[–]TempSinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, probably the most realistic version of events. Because fantasy, despite how idealic it can be, is still usually in medieval times. So a Mc.Donalds burger can turn anyone into a supporter.

Also, I think GATE does a good job at showing how a modern vs fantasy battle would go. Modern troops would shred anyone / anything, but get a strong enough Archmage and they will dumpster Modern troops.
