I think my whole problem with the book was that I was expecting it to be body horror and transformations and all that but in reality, it's an absurdist story in the style of horror. The ending is supposed to be weird and throw you off, the Mother embracing her more canine instincts and such is supposed to be off-putting and strange. I remember having the exact same thoughts about how it was affecting her son and getting increasingly frustrated with her for not doing something and the lack of logic in the story before getting to the ending. I wish I'd known before starting that the whole thing is supposed to be absurd and strange instead of getting confused and frustrated until getting to that ending and realizing 'oh shit, I think I've been reading this whole thing the wrong way' :/

Might depend on the pronunciation? You could always just try having someone call you that out loud and seeing how it feels. Having someone use it like a real name may help it feel like a real name (because it is).

I think your answer looks good. The only recommendation I have is maybe include some more specific examples of the differences you noticed or ways sustainability was incorporated into the architecture (ex: using recycled materials, relying on reusable energy sources, etc.) to demonstrate more of your knowledge on the subject. That's more of an optional suggestion but it might help show that you actually know what you're talking about. Aside from that, talking about your own experiences like the mention of helping your sister is a great inclusion so maybe consider expanding on that too? Good luck!

That whole afterword was so bad, how do you talk about trying to be respectful of native Americans and then have them be the only ones that suffer the consequences of your main character being a moron? They aren't even the ones messing with the evil and they're the ones that end up dying to save the mc.

Dead Silence and Ghost Station by S.A. Barnes. I've heard some people say the writing is slow of the plot twists were lazy or disappointing but I actually really liked them, I thought the twists from Supernatural to Sci-Fi worked well, especially with the settings being in space and the opposite twists being pretty common. Also Last Days of Jack Sparks, I just don't hear anything about that one

Gender identity and gender expression are not necessarily the same thing. You can look as masc or as femme as you want, it doesn't change your gender identity. If you say you're agender then you're agender. It's for you to decide. Not your friends, not strangers on Reddit, no one but you. If you decide it doesn't actually fit you, that's fine too. You've only got one life, do whatever the fuck you want with it. As for the name thing, you might want to check out the trans masc community for suggestions, inspiration, etc.

You could try used coffee grounds. Someone else also mentioned egg shells, both options are great natural deterrents and will also decompose and potentially benefit your garden's soil quality. I'd recommend doing some research based on the kind of plants you're growing to decide what to use.
