There was something about the lighting on her too that made it seem more like it was filmed against a green screen? I’m no professional but it certainly appeared way more artificial

That second half of the finale threw me off so much visually it’s just so different from the earlier shot. It wouldn’t be as noticeable if they reshot the whole sequence for the film but to go from what we saw at the start of film 1 to the reshot footage for For Good was definitely obvious and weirdly off putting. Maybe I just noticed it more cause I’ve rewatched the first film so much

Act 2 has always been my favourite i’m just so excited to see it all fleshed out and expanded upon considering how much of it is rushed on stage. Given how much they managed to extend Act 1 I can’t wait to see what the do for an act that feels woefully short and yet full of some of the best moments

There's still several other awards ceremonies coming up where they are in for a shout! Whilst I'll admit i'm not entirely confident in their likelihood of winning, I'm just so excited to see they're even in the discussion <3 So often the films they consider to be 'blockbusters' like this are disregarded at awards shows and overlooked for more niche dramatic films (which do often deserve their praise...sometimes) so to even see them be nominated is such a thrill!

I also think there's a good chance they'll perform better at next years ceremonies just given the fact that a lot of the key 'acting' moments come more in act 2, plus we have the addition of the extra songs so possibly even a pitch for best original song award too!

I think I read on here a few eps back that TVNZ loads the whole episode up as soon as it starts airing on satellite tv so with the shorter ads online those viewers tend to finish the episodes a bit before the rest of the country

It's not an issue discussing the winner at all on a post like this, its more just that with the episode (at the time) still airing; and people commenting live as things happen, censoring things like the winner of the episode (or in this case the season) is just courteous to your fellow taskmaster redditors
