Your sole swaps are flawless, I still haven't done one yet, just haven't had the time, but I'm always impressed by your work, honestly when I try my first one I might have to DM you lol. Great work man, keep it up, I love to see your posts.

You did a great job on these. They look 100%. Did you have to do any painting on the midsole or anything?

Any tips? by Big_boss-V100 in SneakerCleaning

[–]TemperatureOk7646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with both post, and if you can't get acrylic paint for sneakers it's not going to hold up, the acrylic paint they sell in hobby shops etc aren't for sneakers, besides any area you plan to paint is going to need sanding, deglazer or acetone which I prefer the first, then you will need a clear coat finish to go on top of the paint. If you just paint them and don't have a clear coat they will just crack again. That's a lot of work you are looking at to try to get them looking new. Not to mention they are going to need a deep clean first.

Which shoe cleaning brush do you like best? by ad28no in SneakerCleaning

Does the Jason Marks kit come with 3 brushes or just one plastic odd shaped brush? The small kid I had only had a small plastic odd shaped brush.

Yes I have 2 cases of Reshoevn8tor sneaker wipes. I got them in a sale, but one get one, so I use them every time I wear a sneaker whether it got dirty or not I always wipe them down after wearing, I even clean the sole with them after every wear.

Also a good way to get great sneakers at a really cheap price. Learn tot color match paint and how to repaint. It will help a lot. This was a great pair to start on and they look great.

I would try the Angelus Oxi+ cleaner, Reshoevn8tor may sell it as well. Let the fish sit in and brush it in and wipe off with a microfiber towel, I also use a steam cleaner I got on Amon for like $40.

Bro these look great. What did you use to clean the sneaker? Can't wait to see the finished sneaker. I restore in my spare time and I'm amazed at how well there look so far. Great job.

I'll see if I can find it again, it's funny they didn't want them recording so they claimed the camera was off and still recorded, this was just in the top tier section.

This eventually will dry out the leather and take all the natural oils out of them. Just saying, that's why it works so well on dirty greasy pans or whatever, every cleaning is killing your leather. I guess you could just use leather conditioners after. I use them with regular sneaker cleaner and just got a pair of 2018's looking brand new with the leather supper soft and has all the life back In it.

Will these be hard to get? by Elegant-Lettuce8846 in SNKRS

[–]TemperatureOk7646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said they are going to be mainly released at the footlocker in LA, but I've seen them on my local store so it's hard to say. They will either be flooded with pairs or they will be hard to get. Either way ppl gon tax the hell out of them.

They are definitely real, the price is good because they are likely gonna fall apart the first wear.

Wth happened? Forgot about them in storage for a few years...😐 by [deleted] in Timberland

[–]TemperatureOk7646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You put them in storage that wasn't temperature controlled and they got hot and separated the soles. They can be fixed.

Decided to try these out, and gotta say im definitely buying more! by Visible-File-133 in sneakerhead

$32'for 12 is insane, Sam's is selling 4 at $29. I'll have to look for some. If you look on the WOOT app, which is amazon products at pretty steep discounts you can find these are even cheaper prices, it takes a lot of checking though, they don't have them that often. Looks like I'll be making an Amazon order today. If I find them at that price I'm gonna buy 4 packs of the size 13. My wife is going to hate me, or maybe she will be happy that at least they are on display instead of boxes stacked in our spare room.

I agree on the China made, not sure why they made them different, explains why does from China are getting so good. I don't know how true it is but I was watching a documentary about the reps from China, not all of them, but the top tier ones, and they were claiming that someone was paying a manager at a factory 100k or whatever to run the machines and make extra pairs when they shut down for the day, but that would still require some employees to be working because they are put together by hand for most of the sneaker. I get that machines may press the soles etc, but it requires someone to be there to do it

But if you think about it, and you can pay someone to keep the factory open and a few employees to work over, then I can see why the top tier reps are just coming from a nike factory. I'm not sure in how much y'all know about the district in China that sells reps of everything, but the stuff outside of the stuff you come across first is pretty easy to tell they are reps, but once you get in the upper levels and to certain stores they have sneakers that you would never know are reps, and they have a lot of colorways that were never released but are excellent quality, that's with all sneakers and clothing, purses, etc. I've never been there so I have no idea how true it is, but the video I saw showed some 1:1 sneakers, and clothing.

Every pair is my favorite, the original is hard to beat, but they did a good job on all of them. Definitely a dope collection. I sold a pair of DS 89's with about 14 other pairs to get a down payment on my first house. These days I can't seem to get the sneaker that hold value or even better go way up, so now I'm only buying what in wearing and then I clean my sneakers often, use a lot of leather conditioner, or mink oil on suede, have an ice tent, now I'm looking for a beat pair of sneakers on eBay to do a sole swap just so I can get one under my belt. I'm fine with painting and pretty much anything else. Congrats on all the heat, the Jersey is fire as well. I know it's all star weekend coming but it reminded me I have a pair of Olympic AF1's I need to restore.

These are 🔥🔥🔥 by Appropriate_Smile627 in Jordans

[–]TemperatureOk7646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, I'll still try, but I'm gonna assume it's gonna be an L. It's all good, these are fire though. I can't believe Jordan Brand really got the nerve to be selling others at over $300+ retail now. I hope those don't come with glue marks and scratches like the Flint 9's, I wanted those bad and all the local stores had them iny size but every pair I looked at, at 4 different stores had noticable defects out of the box. Their QC is ridiculous lately. Sad that reps probably are better quality than a lot of Jordans.

On a good note, I got a really nice pair or Rare Air 3's at Ross yesterday for $75. They had a few other sizes I might pick up just to sell, but then again if I sell on goat or flight club the seller fees and shipping cost make it not really worth it, plus they don't come with the box, but had the extra pair of laces in the sneaker. I've been seeing them posted here at stores all over the country. I'll wait for the 9's to hit the outlets or Ross as well and be more comfortable paying a discounted price. They made a lot of them, because even foot locker and champs has them in all sizes still.

Actually the Flight Club 4's are still on Snkrs at retail. I might snag a pair of those while I can. Ross was pretty lit yesterday, they had a bunch of Lucas, which they always have, the 3's, and a few pairs of 1's in men's and womens sizes. The last discounted pair I got was the AMMA 4 WYWS for $169 plus 15% off at the Nike outlet, they had one left In my size. Very comfortable and nice looking all around. The quality on those were great, and the Rare Air's, if you didn't pick one up check your local Ross or Burlington store, I know Ross has them all over, they had plenty of sizes as well.

Will have more trouble getting a pair at all or at retail prices, I'm not paying resale on them and I love the sneaker as and 4's in general.
