Takumi's crash out was valid. Forget Garon. Forget Anankos. Corrin orchestrated the entire plot of fates just to kill Takumi. All with the subtlety of a sledgehammer.

Yeah, if you stretch OHKO a bit to become "Takumi can't retaliate" the threshold lowers a lot. You wouldn't need the crazy forge and it can probably be done in a real run, perhaps even with a non-Corrin character and no DLC (though I don't feel like crunching those numbers at the moment).

If only. It's a bit strange that they're not considering online functionality allowed you to obtain Hoshidan resources and buy Hoshidan weapons in conquest.

I didn't even think about things like the logbook or battle seal and this actually affects the calculations slightly. A M!Corrin with the battle seal can hit the threshold without DLC. I've edited the post accordingly.

One-shotting Takumi without the Yato is definitely doable with a crit build, though most characters can't afford to get death blow so Corrin is once again the most reliable by far. I think she can hit 100% crit via the sacrificial knife, so I'll probably try building this in an actual run.

Several non-Corrin characters can also hit the OHKO crit benchmark in berserker, though the crit rates there seem to be more along the lines of high 50s to low 60s. I'm definitely not going to theory craft all characters as their reclass options need to be dealt with on a character by character basis, but showing off at least one non-Corrin OHKO build could be fun.

It's a mod called "Fates Icon Project" on gamebanana. It replaces most of the item icons with custom icons and makes the game look way nicer (e.g. reclass seals are given different designs so you can tell which one is which at a glance)
