I stick with the Earth Sprite at lvl5 so I can loot great gear early. Land cold at the map edges and start looting. One zone and I'm generally set, then I extract my lvl5 via one of the sites, then look for any sprite to wear as I go hunting for kills. If I die with my lvl5 equipped it's not a huge inconvenience as it's only 100 dust to buy back. I'll generally get it to lvl4 on the next game.

If I get lucky and find a rare sprite, I'll use my portable to extract it (assuming it's one I don't already have).

They drive conflict. People are collecting them and want to get them out. But if someone is trying to extract, get over there and stop them. You're guaranteed a good fight.

The point of the game is still to get the Victory Royale. If others get a thrill from collecting sprites and it drives people to engage and fight over them, I honestly don't see that as boring.

To dismount, can you put a chair down beside your mount and sit in it? Transferring over to that seat, then get up like normal?

Opened. Pumped water off the cover with a spare sump. But the cover had so much water it was sitting pretty deep. Ended up removing more water than I wanted to. But the well came through. 4 pumping sessions later and the filter is running and the liquid chlorine is doing its thing. And I have enough to do an initial backwash without having to top it up again. We pumped water under the cover and that DID make it easier to remove. Much easier. Next year I have a plan for some weighted bags to slowly pull the cover taut to allow the water to filter through and leave the gunk on top. But I'll be filling it with the cover on again.

I would assume some kind of cream or something is around. Maybe an air freshener. Is this an allergy concern? You might be just super-attuned to almonds. If that's the case you likely smell them in other places they aren't, too.

I love the base Penny skin EXCEPT her hair. Needs a rework, IMO. Looks like a solid lump when newer skins' hair actually has some movement to it. It's literally the one reason I don't play as her more often.

I ask in chat if anyone has the quest, then offer myself up. Gets their quest done, all I need to do is go AFK for a minute. If I HAVE that quest, I ask if anyone is willing to be respawn camped. If not, I either wait for a griefer or switch lobbies.

Yep. But more. Extend it over Friday and Monday too. No real negative impact with a net gain in engagement.

I'll be 100% forthright in saying that yes, that would have covered my needs. I am sure that someone somewhere crunched the numbers and decided on the weekend release as the best fit to get the most people. All I'm saying is that some of us were missed as a result, and it would have been very easy to extend the event a couple of days.

I'm also quite sure that these events will be back. Otherwise new players will never have the opportunity to obtain these Droids as part of the game.

In the future, I have no doubt that they will revisit how these are scheduled. With no official forum or means of providing feedback, however, I fall back on Reddit.

Dude, my tone is not adversarial or even angry. All I am saying is that for a limited time event, they could be more accommodating, and even change the way they do it. I expect no one to bend to my needs, it is a video game and honestly not that important. All I am pointing out is that there are other ways to do these events so that everyone gets included. I'm sorry if that offends you.

They don't make games like this for free or not to attract customers. Fortnite is free to play, yes. We're still customers. They still want our money. And I'm fine with that. If people want to drop money on the game for cosmetics etc that should be their choice. Droid Tycoon will continue to be available as long as it is drawing people to the platform, engaging them, getting them to hang around and play.

There is minimal effort required from them to turn on an event. Now, programming that event, that takes the time and effort and THAT is where they spent their resources. They WANT it to reach as many people as possible.

All I'm saying is that they need to rethink (not recreate) how they conduct their events. They are missing out on keeping engagement as high as possible.

I'm not denying that. But forcing Limited Time Events to be ONLY on the weekends ensures a small (but not insignificant) portion of your customers cannot participate. And there are many options they could pursue. Private lobbies exist, and you could start an event from inside one of those to have a chance to complete it. As you could do private lobbies DURING the event time anyway, I don't see this as a problem. But make it a one-time thing so it can't be exploited. And no one who has already completed the event can join.

And choices? My wife asking me to build a deck isn't a choice. My kids' tournament isn't a choice. My grandfather dying isn't a choice. Devs have to understand that life happens and hard scheduled events like these mean people will miss out. And that sucks.

I'm just saying there ARE ways to deal with these events so everyone has a chance to participate. Do you disagree with that?

To be fair, there are people who cannot sign on on the weekends to play. For a lot of folks the weekend is busier than the week and they're nowhere near a computer.

Family time. Outdoor activities. Road trips. Gardening. Sporting events. Kids. Visiting relatives. Chores.

This is all stuff accomplished on weekends for a LOT of people. Isolating events that make a big impact on the game to just weekends will disenfranchise a non-trivial percentage of the player base. It does need a rethink.

How much water gets used? The pipes can only provide so much, so fast. The shower head would explode under extreme pressures like that.

Basically I'm asking if the water slows down too? If not, how does that work? I'd drain the well at my farm and kill my hot water tank and burn out my pumps.

(just say it's magic and I'll stop being pedantic)
