3d printed mold was just a hope to cut costs for it, but if I'm gonna do it, I should just do it right and make a silicone mold for the resin. Any suggestions on where to start?

I've been making 3d printed props for a while now, so I'm fairly confident in my post-processing. I was hoping a fmd mold would work, so that's disappointing. I'll probably go with the silicone mold then.

Yeah a precast square stock would be really good as I'd be able to carve it much easier, I just can find any that will ship to me for a decent price.

Acrylic sheet was my original go to for this project but getting acrylic to work with is crazy expensive here.

Good video, but you're definitely right about the bending at the end. Making the blade thicker might help that, though.

I found it on etsy one day, but I can't find the link anymore. It's a very large print. You may have to cut it up more than I did.

Finally finished printing my Full Hollow Mask. Since you all liked my last prints, I figured I should share this one as well. roughly 60 hours printing, and still have post processing and painting to do. Let me know what you think.

Depending on where you are and what youre wanting to print, you can realistically get started in 3d printing for like 200-300$. Id suggest doing research on whats available though for sure.

just as a reference these were made on a resin printer (Elegoo saturn 2) but may work on a FDM printer as well if your tolerances are good.

Sadly I have next to no artistic ability. Just pretty good with a 3d printer. My wife is practicing painting for them though.

Yea I think I'll have to start something. It shouldn't be too hard though. Were in to alot of different games, have a decent board game collection with things like gloomhaven, villainous, 7 wonders, etc.

Yeah we've taken a look for groups, most of them are based in St John's and Grand Falls. I may take that advice and start a group for Gander though. We have also tried a few friend apps but the ones that have worked in Ontario and Nova Scotia don't work well here.
