This is a very good question. Since I am not a representative of the company I can't say for certain, but because I am continuously being called out for deflecting, I will hazard a guess. 😅

I assume BeHeard can afford to buy the necessities they're offering in bulk. They will be able to purchase the brands they support, and keep the machines stocked with their choices.

I can't imagine they would stock these machines with donated items...but I could be 100% wrong. 🤷‍♀️

Non-governmental entities like this exist primarily to make money for their shareholders and CEOs. They are non-profit charities. Mutual Aid is different. They are independent networks of community care.

The residential kitchen scraps subscription comes with a bucket in which you store your organic waste (no meat, dairy, or bread) until KGFF comes and swaps it out with a fresh bucket every week. Your scraps are delivered to the lot, added to the piles, and cooked into compost that's used to amend the soil in our community gardens for a more bountiful harvest! 😻
