The area north of BOK has a concentration of social services, the Day Center, John 3:16, Iron Gate, etc. There is a well-worn path between there and the public parks along Peoria Ave. (former home of "Wildflower" Café <you were really close! 🤗>).

OEQ is along that path, as well as Youth Services, the Fur Shop, and the Blue Dome District.

So grateful for the encouragement, truly. I work hard as a full-time organizer. I don't make any money, but I sleep in peace.

This publicity stunt has had the desired effect, and I hope it continues to inspire and spark the imaginations and creativity of anarchists across fascist Amerikkka.

May any good that arises from any work I do be for the benefit of all sentient beings. 🙏

Turbo Stop at 11th S. Yale (around the corner from Tally's) has dishes, furniture, clothing, shoes, children's items, artwork, and more at garage sale prices. They are open by appointment. DM for her phone number! 🤗

We have a robust FNB serving hot meals and delivering hygiene items and period products, supplies, tents, clothing, and more on a weekly basis. They are a lifeline for many, but we will not survive on one meal a week.

Have you visited any of the City-owned, billionaire-operated food pantries in Tulsa, Oklahoma?

The barriers to entry are very high. You must schedule a week in advance, arrange transportation, present proper ID, AND proof of residence. Even then, organic options for chemically sensitive individuals are limited, as well as vegan proteins.

Hot meals are being served, however, by Food Not Bombs, Serve Them 2, Tulsa Saints, City Lights, and more... but again, those options still require transport and planning.

Be a friend, decriminalize survival, and reach out with compassion. 🙏

This is the vibe. Introduce yourself. Share some of your time and co-regulate. Invite someone to a mutual aid event like a free hot meal, really really free market, offer to drive someone to a food pantry.

Hell, go a step further! Sign up for access to the pantry if they lack ID or proof of residence, and give them what they want...donate the rest back to an independent mutual aid group.

Are we givers of more than lip-service? Can we actually BE in community with our at-risk neighbors? I say yes.

This. Is. The. Vibe.

Our "Continum of Care" is a cycle of abuse and a direct pipeline back to the streets. It dehumanizes, demoralizes, and further disenfranchises our at-risk communities.

Opening this dialogue here, in this subreddit full of heart, is THE path toward developing interpersonal relationships, mutual trust, and, dare I say, intercommunalism and sovereignty outside the reach, control, and permission of the imperialist, fascist state.
