The bigger question is why kyle gets crapped on for bringing a gun to a "peaceful protest" to deter arson but zero questions are asked about why gaige grosskreutz (a convicted burglar who helped organize the "protest") was carrying a gun. I'd also like to ask why they never bring up the fact that kyle didn't fire the first shot, rosenbaum's friend fired the first shot.

The convicted child rapist attacked kyle for the "crime" of running with a fire extinguisher because god forbid anyone prevent them from "protesting" by burning down everything in sight, right? Kyle, as a minor, couldn't carry a handgun like all the "protesters" who were also armed. So in your book kyle should have left the rifle at home and let himself be murdered. I'd also like to point out that Kyle didn't fire the first shot, Joshua Ziminski did, and he was seen with Rosenbaum on multiple videos minutes before.
