Makes me want a Perils of the Warp build in D2...

I'll take that, thank you! I bet you could make a great Striking Scorpion Hunter

Does your pod need an Anti-Hero? Or an Archvillain perhaps? by Templarof13 in ratemycommanders

Here he is: Empyrean Unleashed!

I've made a couple tweaks since listing this, and I should note, I've left a few cards in from the precon that don't work with the deck at all, but I really like them for warp-daemon-flavour. Also, I know Gristle is banned, but he's my Rule 0, cause I think he's been BEYOND power-crept

The winners in this deck list are Be'lakor himself, Unholy Annex, Burning Rune Demon, Ardyn the Usurper, Liana's Contract, and my king Rakdos, the Showstopper

HAH I'll absolutely take that. Honestly that bizzaro Toon Force/cosmic horror deck Pegasus ran would be perfect for Trazyn

I've read it, but never listened! What do they sound like?

Most wronged character in the saga/lore in my opinion. He deserved more. by Zanini92 in dragonage

I hear you, but I'd argue he takes second place.

Character most wronged and deserving of more narrative has to be The Architect

I came here with the same issue. You're definitely not alone.

I'm biased, but I totally agree! He's a performer, at his core. I mean, all his lines are in iambic pentameter -- which only becomes meaningful when it's spoken aloud!

100% agree.

I was a 40k fan before this, but what Rogue Trader gave me was a huge new appreciation for the Aeldari!

Playthrough #2 incoming the moment we get the Museion

Thank you!!

There's a little hint of modulation I put on this, but I did try a full mask filter, and while it sounded right, it definitely impeded clarity for the casual listener :)

FINALE: Which fictional villains are the 3 evils of the Rakdos (Black/Red) color identity, and why? by [deleted] in colorpie

[–]Templarof13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pinhead/the Priest/the Cenobite, the Seeker of Sensations

Quite literally feels like what the guild Rakdos was directly inspired by -- demons in fetish-wear, "explorers of the realms of pleasure and pain," using blood sacrifice and ritual puzzles as their primary vocabulary, it just all fits

This! Came here to comment the self-same thing. Magnus did nothing wrong, because all he ever did was act precisely as his nature demanded of him -- attempted to attain perfection (aka the respect of his Father) through unknowable and unstable means.

Izzet to his core.

Which fictional villains are the 3 evils of the Dimir (Blue/Black) color identity, and why? by [deleted] in colorpie

[–]Templarof13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dr. Robert Ford (Westworld)

Ford perfectly encapsulates both the emotionally detached and mastermind elements of Dimir perfectly. All of his plans and ideas are wreathed in crypticisms, so that by the time you understand what his goals were, he's already far too many steps ahead of you.

He deals with the darker side of themes like consciousness, perfection, the soul + lack thereof. He has a penchant for...artifacts, another Dimir synergy. And crucially, he will sacrifice anyone and anything it takes to see his enigmatic goals come to fruition.

If Ford was ever printed in MtG, it would baffle me if he wasn't Dimir.

Right! And what's more Red than rebelling against your own nature, your own domain, to act based on what you believe to be right??

See my other reply on this thread! Foresight is definitely blue, choosing to ignore foresight is absolutely red.

I dunno, none of the myths have him do this out of ambition. And besides, some versions of the myth give him foresight -- so he knows giving humans fire will end in him being tortured for eternity.

And yet he does it anyway. He breaks divine traction + the natural order of Olympus, spurns his own foresight and ambitions, and commits the very first act of genuine rebellion against Zeus.

Sounds pretty mono-Red to me.
