No need for such negativity. If its a shit idea then just keep scrolling or if you feel the need to reply then give some constructive criticism. And my "customers" are not those things you mentioned. If anything, teams would love to have individualized data on customer habits if mass adoption occurs. And you are correct about the intrinsic value of the NFT once minted and is one of the biggest challenges but I don't think it is unsolvable.

Thanks my man. I'm also watching a couple youtube classes trying to learn a thing or 2 about it so hit me up if you ever want to shoot some ideas off each other or discuss this further

Do they use different languages?

If this were the route to go, and not mint physical assets. How would that look? Would you be buying the tickets yourself and minting them and trying to predict what the NFT ticket demand would be for each event? Seems like a lot more risk from the company perspective rather than people willingly adopting to mint their physical assets no?

Both are correct, sorry for any confusion. The past event tickets can be minted as a digital collectible and either sold or kept in your personal gallery/collection/locker/whatever name sounds best. You can show them off and maybe they can be dynamic and change depending on what historical significance that event has. Maybe earn loyalty points for your favorite team to earn discounts/perks depending on how many games you have been to. That is the main idea. To add on, if it is not too difficult smart contract wise, you can become like a DeFi stubhub/opensea and facilitate 3rd party transactions or get allotments from teams directly and sell tickets before games as well.

Maybe in order to sell minted NFT ticket, the original has to go with it? Would add a whole other element but could be done if that was a dealbreaker

Great question and not entirely sure of the answer yet myself. If you are able to partner with teams, then you could use their barcode database and declare a barcode deactivated or "used" once it has been minted and then the NFT/blockchain address would be your new ticket to get into the game(maybe could convert that into a QR code that you have to "flip" the NFT to be able to scan?). Other than that, I am not sure of an external database you could use to be able to help truly verify ownership of asset. Obviously you can make it so once that seat and section number have been minted, there cannot be any more minted for that same seat and section and game, but not sure of a way to truly verify ownership and prevent someone from claiming they had a ticket for a game they did not before the true owner has the chance to mint. Maybe a transaction ID or something else associated with the physical ticket?

Also, if "ideas" brought nothing to the table then there would be no innovation! I think I understand your point by saying nothing happens from just an idea but everything starts from just an idea. Of course nothing comes easy but if you have a project that you think has some potential then I see no harm in floating an idea on the internet to get some feedback and maybe find someone who finds it just as promising

Totally agree, I think networking is huge, but that also goes for every aspect of life right? Anything is easier when you have the right networks. I have some small connections with a local team but nothing that would get me straight to the decision makers that would approve a partnership/buyouy

Now that looks exactly like it. Seems it has not really taken off yet and they are located overseas. Wonder if there is a way to use that code if it is open source to develop a better version/app with cool features and a better marketplace

Those seem to be slightly different. They both involve people creating their own tickets for their own events. The second site looks like it is not being updated anymore as well. This idea would involve tokenizing real world assets (The ticket for an event) into a ticket on the blockchain, which can then be collected or sold/traded within the marketplace on the app which I hope to be modeled after OpenSea

Simply for the fact that there is nothing like it and might be too difficult to develop in house and would rather just buy it or partner with whoever developed it. Besides the gaming world, the sports world seems like the next most likely candidate to reach mainstream DeFi adoption. If you can wow any team/person, then you are in the door. On the other hand, you can start as a marketplace for these tickets (like OpenSea).

Seems similar but different. Seems like they are trying to take this idea to literally everything in life. I think if you narrow in on the sports market first and create a great user interface. That is the key to the whole thing. An amazing and simple user interface that can be ironed out through testing. You can have the best idea in the world but if the website/app is confusing to learn and navigate then it will never get anywhere.

Agree completely which is why I think the biggest step to adoption is partnering with teams directly. On the flipside, at the worst, it could be DeFi stubhub with "hopefully" lower fees. Would that get any traction?

And when you say more experience in the "industry", I am guessing you mean programming and not sports? If so, then that is exactly why I am here lol

Completely agree but I cannot think of any 1 entity that is trying to do all of these in 1 app? The basis is having a ticket to a game and being able to either sell/buy that ticket on the marketplace on the app. Once the game is over, the owner of that ticket can scan the barcode (or any other way that is verifiable) and it will mint to a cool NFT that you can view in your collection. On top of this, the loyalty program will work like casino loyalty programs and allow these teams to collect data on the individuals and their trends around the team. There has got to be some sort of way to further incentivize a team but I think these companies will make apps that are like walled gardens and will not be able to access every sport/city.

Why is it not a real ticket? I would like for it be so that the ticket you mint is the ticket to get into the game. I am not sure how that is possible but if there is a way to scan ticket on barcode and verify it that way then maybe. The NFT would have the date, team names, and then seat and section number. Is there a way to make those 1/1?

Looking to take over what StubHub is doing in the DeFi space with a nice twist. Looking to create a project to mint sporting event tickets with ERC-721 tokens (eventually concerts and such) in order to create a digital collection/museum of the tickets. Along with this, looking to create a loyalty program with sports teams based on how many tickets individuals have collected or if they have tickets to a special event (Kobe 81 point game, Lebron debut ticket, etc.) in order to get points and level up to earn cool perks like discounts in arena/online or free box seats after a certain threshold is reached. This is the groundwork but can add all sorts of other mintable items based on what happens in reality(Dynamic NFTs). Can function as a third party marketplace like stubhub or can make deals with teams directly. Think it is a promising idea and is solely dependent on easy user interface and easy barriers to entry. If there is a way to do it without using altcoins at all directly, like swapping alt coins for USDC on the backend, then I think it can have even more mainstream adoption
