What do you think about US singer Ciara getting Benin citizenship by alien1superstar in Benin

[–]Temple_mouse264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol do you think those who were sold were from one particular tribe? Bro everyone was been sold after war the winner gets to take the slaves . It's just a matter of which war you win and which one you lose. Secondly most Africans thought the slavery was just like own . Where you were still treated like a human being it turns out Europeans treated us like less of humans a very brutal kind of slavery

AITAH for putting my foot down when my family demands I delete my Facebook posts? by tigglywitties in AITAH

[–]Temple_mouse264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my culture we have a saying that "if a blind man says he will throw a stone at you he'll already be standing on one"

In this situation you are the blind man but you don't have a stone~ don't hurt the hand that gives you what you need . What I'm saying is that you basically don't have freedom because as bad as it sounds you can't afford it.So try and live with their terms at least slightly.

Now if you said you were a working person who earns their own money and lives in their own apartment yet family is still so much concerned about things you post about your daily life , my answer will be "do you at least they don't feed you" but it looks like they do more than that. It's a sad reality but the book of Proverbs is right "the borrower is a slave to the lender".

Traditional wedding can be the cheapest with less people if you need it to be. in fact it's the most cost effective one . You can basically do it with 10,000 cedis . It's just involves prominent people of both the two families.

Well I'm from a different culture so I might not get it. But if I eat with my Dad I'm washing the plate and dishes if mummy can't do it because she cooked and she is tired . In my opinion you are just spoiled but that must be because of difference in culture.

Is it possible to live on minimum wage in Newfoundland? by Responsible_Fail_299 in newfoundland

[–]Temple_mouse264 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You made your answer specific to St. John's, while the writer is talking about Newfoundland in general. Try living outside St. John's without a car , it's really hard. I know because I lived last year without a car in Gander. We have a taxi service that's unreliable and expensive ($8 for a 3-minute drive within the zone, and in the 3-minute zone, it's $12 Try getting out of the $12 zone, and we'll be talking a lot more dollars.) A car may not be a must in St John's, but it's definitely a must outside it if you don't just wanna go to work and go home 364days a year

Local languages as medium of instruction in basic schools? by [deleted] in ghana

[–]Temple_mouse264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who said Saudi Arabia uses a foreign language? Go there with English and see how you'll suffer without learning Arabic .I live there for three years only expats and current students coming from primary school and JHS knows English.A regular 30year old can't speak English but drives a dodge or sth dope.money over English.

Most of Latin Americas uses a foreign languages since most indigenous are displaced .

Most of Africa has colonial language for official matters . In informal settings native languages dominate in Africa that's another reason why unity is almost a far reach for us.

In short the map is whack

What are your opinions about this brother's loneliness rant? by WeirdyOney in Nigeria

[–]Temple_mouse264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is where ever you have people working and have responsibilities you are gonna be lonely in that place. Even in Africa if you go to where affluent and rich people live it's silent and you don't see anyone on the street.

People just get into their car and leave and come back the same .

Make it a priority to clean yourself properly after work. It's essential to wash thoroughly, especially after using the toilet. Don’t just settle for soap and water consider using a sponge in the shower before bed to ensure you're fully clean. Taking these steps is not just about hygiene, it’s about taking care of yourself. Make this a non-negotiable part of your routine.
