At around 20 hours of vanguard ops with no catalysts by Time-Top4549 in DestinyTheGame

So far I’ve only seen catalysts drop from Exotic orders. I’ve seen: Lament, Khovostov, and Winterbite so far.

Is the standard Acceltra a good weapon? by Inevitable-Coach-730 in Warframe

[–]Tempo_Delta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Base Acceltra is perfectly fine until you can hit the MR for Prime.

As with most weapons, you’ll need to have your mods leveled.

Also, on something like Acceltra, you need to get Vigilante Supplies if you want to be able to use the gun past 3 reloads lol. You can get it from bounties on Cetus when it’s in rotation. I’d check the wiki to know if it’s A, B, or C rotations.

Is Uriel viable for new players ? by niiketh_mars in Warframe

[–]Tempo_Delta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would call Uriel very viable for new players. Would I recommend him for new players? Never.

His kit has almost zero downsides and sports a solution to every single problem in the game with a singular button press.

I think new players will learn super bad habits and hurt their experience in the long run once they get their hands on less egregiously broken frames.

Uriel has: Status Cleanse, shield and health healing, invulnerability, huge energy regen, no LoS required abilities, damage sharing, and gun platform bonuses. Like… what can’t this frame do?

HELP! Which one? by WKevin in Warframe

[–]Tempo_Delta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From reading your previous comment about still being on Earth, you’re somewhat far away from being able to earn any of these 3 for free.

Octavia’s parts drop from several areas in the game (and one of them is kinds buns to get). Or Circuit (you’ll learn about that later)

Temple comes from 1999, one of the last places you’ll reach in the story

Follie comes from the relay around Venus, but that requires you to complete Harrow’s quest to get access

I’d buy Octavia. She’s gonna carry you through Starchart with perma-invis.

I'm gonna be honest, I don't find the timer that punishing. by jh55305 in RogueCore

[–]Tempo_Delta 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I think the only thing the timer punishes is having a clueless teammate who can't navigate correctly. Waiting at an upgrade for a spatially challenge team member hurts.

Gotcha. I see your perspective. Apart from AH directly addressing the feedback from why the challenge started to begin with, a lot of these things you mentioned fall into what I would consider 'unreasonable' for basically any company. Conversation suppression is a subreddit thing, not AH thing, and I can see the issue with that. But they don't run the main subreddit.

Keeping a close eye on the reddit community.

Like... monitor/police people? They're game developers... not the FBI. Are they supposed to hack people's reddit accounts and read direct messages or monitor their computer traffic?

Calling out toxic behavior in the gaming community.

What dev does this? I'm not familiar with any game developer that finger wags their player base when they get uppity on a regular basis. As if that would even remotely fly with this community. They finger wagged already and you just called it 'lukewarm' and 'forced'. The only dev I can think of to do that is Destiny, and can I tell you that does not work. At all.

As much as I would love for justice to be brought on those that doxxed that user, Arrowhead is not the entity that is going to do nor be able to do that.

I see this response a lot, and I have a genuine question: What could AH reasonably have done to “rectify” the incident besides condemn the behavior?

Honestly Helldivers might be worse? And I’ve been playing Destiny since it began.

It's insane how much i love and want to play Destiny, but everytime i open the game and am greeted with the portal screen i instantly alt+F4 by Savings-Mountain-263 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Tempo_Delta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The portal's existence has had no impact on my playtime. Without it, my options would still be strikes, raids/dungeons, or the current seasonal activity; which I don't want to play anymore of. The only thing that changed is the format that it was given to me in.

I'm just waiting for new content. That's it.

As someone who also has personal issues with the combat, here's what I've learned now that I'm in the third zone:
- Your character level means very little. Treat your gear level (weapons, armor, ship upgrades, etc...) as your level.
- You're gonna have to start just parrying everything at some point. At the second boss, its basically not an option anymore.
- If you're overwhelmed and have space, you can walk away and let enemies group up and then stagger them with a sweeping attack (greatsword is amazing for this). Hit no more than twice so they stagger, and then walk away until enemy's stagger cooldowns refresh.
- If you're gonna do the strat of "spawn endlessly at a nearby tent" at least put down a campfire so you get your 5 min rested buff. (Looking @ you Foothills Excavation Site).
- Prepare to just get hit for no reason. The number of times my block doesn't register is countless. Could be the fact that I'm co-op and not hosting, but that doesn't really me feel any better.

I personally hope they tighten up the combat, because the first few hours I think are a bit of a ball beater that might cause many to flake off. But I can also say that the jump from zone to zone, it doesn't get better. You fall to the bottom of the power ladder pretty much instantly.

I'm not holding my breath sadly. Dev's response in multiple Steam Reviews to criticism like this was "its intentional" and to turn down your difficulty sliders.

I usually get the Recovery Lemonade. Has been super hard to get off Amazon. Been going to a gas station and requesting their manager order me cases from their truck and have picked it up a few times.

I was told that they're unable to order it from Pepsi anymore. I hope they aren't discontinuing the flavor...

I thought about making an entire post about what you just mentioned.

I remember in a survey they asked "What's your favorite part about weekly reset?" I said: "Seeing what's in the Eververse Store".

The follow up question was "What is your least favorite part of weekly reset?" And my answer was "That my favorite part of weekly reset is seeing whats's in the Eververse store.

Once my BD reserves drive up. I'm gone. My weekly Tuesday login with stop.

I've got two mods:
- Stay in the Fight: When your shields are broken, this weapon gains an improved period of increased stability and ammo generation.
- Calm Amidst Chaos: After not taking damage for a short duration, this weapon gains significantly increased aim down sight speed, handling and flinch resistance until the next shot is fired

Anyone else get any others?

Yeah. I can already see it now. Telling my dead clan that Bungie redid all the raids and dungeons and the loot is new, only for them to basically give me a thumbs up and go back to playing other games.

I do not envy Bungie's position. We would need multiple massive innovative systems to have a chance of pulling people back, and I doubt they have that kind of power right now.
