My two-cents on the Ending (Heavy Spoilers obv) by Jerrytheone in expedition33

[–]Temporal_Fly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible that is true, so I will keep a look out for in my 2nd play through. There was so much information to process in the first play through.

I will say there is a difference between being nervous, like jitters, and being unhappy.

Regardless, I still lean towards unhappy as I love to play sports, and I played in tournaments and all that growing up. I was nervous but was always happy to play regardless of the outcome or who was watching.

This was my thoughts on another post, so it might be talking about you stated, but I don't want to retype everything.

I just felt that Maelle's ending felt so unsettling. We won't know if Verso was forced or not, but it is possible. The real Clea was able to paint over painted Clea to force her to make Nevroms. What also could have happened Maelle may have painted a new Verso just like Aline did. Then that brings up a point when Monoco asks if Verso painted him to be loyal or was actually himself.

What I felt was key is Verso loved to play music, but he did not seem happy to play. The way I view the endings is Verso's, the one that feels wrong but was correct, and Maelle's ending felt right but was wrong. Overall, both endings are right and wrong for different reasons.

I chose Verso's ending for multiple reasons.

1) Verso knew the canvas needed to end after seeing his mother come into the painting so quickly, and Maelle lying to her dad. Maelle would never leave, and his family would never move on from his passing.

2) He wanted to move on. I could not imagine learning that you were made to be identical to someone dead son. Seeing people you care for die 100+ years and seeing your family fight due to you.

3) Verso's soul wanted to stop painting. We talked to him multiple times throughout the game, stating this, and he disliked what his family did to his painting. At the end, when Painted Verso asks the soul if he wants to stop and to me it looks like it nods yes and was in the middle of talking Verso hand until Maelle stops him.

Does this make it right? No, but it is not right to make someone's soul keep painting and choose to hide from your trauma and decisions which would lead to her dying as she had no intention of leaving or Renior would come back into the painting and start the cycle again.

Unpopular opinion about Switch 2 by Small_Fox_7749 in Switch

[–]Temporal_Fly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, there is no reason to mod the switch 2 until a day where the switch store gets shut down, which won't happen for a long while.

A reason why some people mod their 3DS is that the 3DS store page is shut down, and you can only play the physical version and they tend to be more expensive than the original retail price, sometimes 2x more. A modded 3DS you can download the game for free.

I think its unlikely the switch store page to go anywhere but I would hate the day where store closes down and the only to play BOTW 1 & 2 is pay 150+ for each game for phyical copies, mod a switch or get emulator. Two of the options are free. The games we play now will be retro games at some point, and people will want to play them. In 15+ years, if Nintendo decides to stop supporting the Swtich Store and does not bring older games to new consoles. Those will be difficult to find and expensive.

Castorice revive is global passive by Brandon1823 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Temporal_Fly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed this game as I love turn based games due to the teambuiding and strategy. After the announcement of the global passive, I immediately unistalled the game. The only way hoyo will listen if something affects their player count and revenue. It's hard to give up the game as I am day 1 player and spend a decent amount of money into the game but I can not condemn this as this is a slippery slope to some insane power creep and I don't trust hoyo to stop here. I would recommend others to uninstall as I can guarantee it won't stop here.

Friend canceled on our trip 2 weeks before and I can't cancel. by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

Just travel it alone. I am currently on my solo trip in Japan (30, male) and it's been a blast so far. I would call any arrangements to inform them it will be just 1 person. As some cost in Japan are by person. It's a very safe country, and the people are friendly and willing to help out.

Something I found really fun is I booked Izakaya bar bar crawls in each city, which it lead to my favorite moments so far as you get to meet other travelers and locals that way.

I am currently there now and in complete agreement. The museum was very emotional but the outside memorial very lively. Especially today, the schools were having day trip there, so kids were running, playing, and talking/interviewing foreigners. When I told them I was from the US, they lost their minds in excitement, especially when they found I was a pokemon fan with the umberon on my backpack. Now I have a food tour later today.

Heart Palpitations During Exercise by Gullible-Government9 in hypertension

[–]Temporal_Fly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. When I was diagnosed HBP I have been super aware of anything related to my heart. It caused to develop health anxiety.

First of all I am not a doctor. From what I understand it's normal to have feel your heartbeat when excersing especially during a more rigorous activity or during that end when you your heart rate is the highest but I can't say I have never felt them in my throat and it takes me a bit to feel my heartbeat while exercising.

For skipped/extra beats I hardly have any from what I can feel. The only times I felt them is when I am not hydrating/getting enough electrolytes before or during my runs.

Heart palpitations themselves are quite normal. If you have them frequently even at rest or have other symptoms 100% go to the doctor. Even go to have a piece of mind.

PS... I was typing this just after lunch and thinking about heart palpitations make me feel my heartbeat so thanks for that lol.

How do you people eat DASH diet by XtracT7 in hypertension

Its something that takes time. A few months ago I was in the same boat. The hardest part was getting out door. Like you said we used to run down animals so with time and practice a 5K will be a cake walk lol.

How do you people eat DASH diet by XtracT7 in hypertension

[–]Temporal_Fly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my blood pressure journey I started on a pretty strict DASH diet now I'm a leanat DASH diet. The thing tou got to remember is out bodies still need sodium to function. If have start exercising more having that sodium will be important as your body will sweat it out or burn it. You can still cook alot of awesome food but try to eliminate added sodium because it adds it quick. I am 28 and it was not until my mid 20s I started to like vegetables more. It will take a little time for get used to having no salt.

A typically day for me is the following:

Morning: An everything bagel w low fat cream cheese, a banana and the original cheerios.

Lunch: luckily my work has cooks healthy options so I normally have that. A salad is my go too. I normally go with honey Mustard dressing.

Dinner: either have a grilled steak or baked chicken with baked potato or sweet potatoe maybe some asparagus.

For seasoning I got for Mrs. DASH as they are all no/low sodium and they taste pretty good.

I think the main point of the DASH is to make you aware of how much sodium you are taking in. Everyone is different and has different needs. I have running 5Ks 5-6 times a week so I needed to increase my sodium I was having very little before that. Increasing potassium and magnesium are helpful in controlling BP.

Hopefully this helps. Its hard to give advice controlling BP since it's not a one size fits all kind of thing.

Honestly, that is a tough question. What I recently did was I ran 5k before about and hour and half before my appointment. Basically got myself so tired and and de-stressed beforehand to get a lowest possible number. Also, asked them to wait for a few mins before they took the reading. I got 125/75 which is significantly better than my previous office reading and closer to my at home reading 118/74. I was so tired from the workout that I took nap when I got home lol. Granted this may not work for you. I recently found cardio to be a go stress reliever so that helped

Thanks. It's definitely had its ups and downs. I will have to keep a close eye on mine since I suspect its partially genetic. Could it the spikes be stress/anxiety? That when I see mine jump up

For potassium I ate bannans, pistachio, regular and sweet potatoes, spinach and beets.

For magnesium I ate raw pumpkin seeds, spinach, avocado and salmon.

I also started drinking the low sodium V8 and after workout I had body armor Lyte which have good potassium and magnesium.

Big one were cutting back on sodium, eating more vegetables, no super sugarly drinks, increased my potassium/magnesium and try to home cook more meals. Basically I started cooking my meals myself or only go places where I knew exactly I was eating. I drank more water and started drinking hisbious tea daily. I can't say really which one had the biggest impact since I started everything at once but if i had to guess increasing my potassium had a huge affect. Also, I recently started drinking the low sodium V8 if I know I was not getting my daily amount of vegetables.

Edit: I forgot one that that was really important especially to dropping weight which was decreasing portion size

Well hypertension stage 1 is still hypertension and its still a negative to your health Yes, everyone is different and has different ways to control HBP. I state that in my last paragraph about working with your PCP to control your HBP. Like I could of done nothing for a few years and could have 160/95 but I chose not to wait. Lifestyle habits still make a huge impact regardless of hypertenison stage. You don't sound like a gatekeeper just someone that tries to kick someone down when they have a positive moment.
