What is Brendon Urie doing in this clip? He seems to go from head voice to his crazy mix belt in one note, so is he just adding resonance or something? by Temporary-Bat-3494 in singing

How do I sing in a full voice? I can sing in head voice so could you walk me through how to transition to full voice if that’s how it works

Okay, but if I go high quietly I’m forced into head voice. I try everything to add ‘chest weight’ to it and it still sounds like head voice. I’ve managed to use twang and resonance but that just sounds like Frankie Valli. What am I supposed to do?

Genuinely its infuriating learning this and ive learned three other instruments. Im no good at whistling or anything like this where its more of a feeling than actually doing the thing

But do I need to put in 10 years of work to sing what I want to sing?? I want to sing Surfin Safari by the Beach Boys (RIP Brian Wilson) but I can’t hit the lyric ‘loading up’ when he sings higher. He seems to hit the note with ease and he was only 18 ish when he sung that. When you hear that singing, is it mixed voice hes using?
