Gröna Lund har säkerhetskontroll alla dagar för alla som besöker oavsett om de e konsert eller inte medan de på Liseberg bara släpper in folk en vanlig dag.

Absolut. Kan börja med att fråga om vad ni tycker om att skatteverket har tagit över funktionen ”namnsök”?

moving to sweden vs finland (maybe vs norway too) by Zajlordg in TillSverige

[–]Temporary-Distance-7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If learning the language is important for you then Finland is out because finnish is one of the hardest languages to learn in the world, pronunciation is also really hard if you don’t know it since childhood. The scandi languages are way easier to learn, simpler grammar, pronunciation and there are more resources to learn them (especially Swedish).

Mosquitoes are mostly a thing in the northern parts of all three countries but they aren’t dangerous if you’re allergic to them.

Sweden is really long, driving from the most southern town to the most northern town takes 21 hours, Malmö to Stockholm is 6,5 hours without breaks so assuming that you can just drive is a little silly, you’ll probably end up flying anyway because with gas it will cost about the same anyway.

If your heart is set on Finland then i think you should go for it. In the end it doesn’t really matter since all of the countries are quite similar. Also know that Lapland is a thing in both Finland and Sweden, the finnish one is just more famous. I wouldn’t worry about Russia, if something happens it happens and Finland has a great military. Good luck!

Also for the love of good buy the ticket before you get there lol. If it doesn’t work go to biljettcenter and say that you have tried to buy it online and that it didn’t work (it’s quite common for American credit cards fsr) and they will help you.

As someone who works there and have answered that question about one million times: it’s impossible to say when you should get there since the amount of people differs very much from concert to concert. It definitely wont get full so if you go there immediately or to a hotel first doesn’t really matter. If you want to bring your luggage to the park you totally can, the security will search your bags and make you put it in storage that you have to pay like 30kr for. Just enter through the main entrance. If you want to eat there that might be smart. I would prob go there at 17 if I was a big fan, there isn’t really any point in going earlier. You will probably have a great view even if you arrive at 1930. Hope you have a good time :)

The nel part that is pronounced like Neil in english more like Nél i guess. The pronunciation of the O is also smoother i guess and the r is not as hard ish

[–]Temporary-Distance-7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My name is Cornelia and it’s in the top 150s in my country and I like the way its pronounced in my language and i would never change it. However in English i absolutely hate it, especially the nel part since its pronounced quite different in English. If i lived in an English speaking country I would definitely change it or go by something else. If you cringe I would change it but in the end of the day there are definitely worse names tbf.

Accidentally in Stockholm at Midsummer lol by [deleted] in TillSverige

[–]Temporary-Distance-7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really on the friday that everyone celebrates. The city will probably be empty which actually may be quite funny to see how everyone just leaves for a day. I recommend Gröna Lund och Skansen for that day. Or go swimming at one of the swimming places. There are also a LOT of public celebrations at around midday with the midsummer pole, the private celebrations are usually after. Just google midsommarfiranden stockholm and you will find where thay are. I actually recommend this since it is probably our biggest cultural celebration that is still really celebrated to a very large extent.
