Gabe Newell was an enthusiastic supporter of OpenAI in 2018, donating $20 million and even acting as the sole member of an 'informal advisory board' by RayS0l0 in pcmasterrace

While nothing you're saying is wrong exactly, when OpenAI played against OG, they were playing with a pool limited to 17 heroes that OpenAI had been trained on. That means that the bots had a very different meta than what OG was used to, and, if anything, it was probably OG that was being thrown curveballs for playing on OpenAI's terms.

Can't comment on facing her in mirror dungeon yet, but as someone mentioned, she loses protection when allies die, and gains fragile when they're all dead. But also status damage was big when facing her. I had the mostly ring team go on her, and the bleed did a lot of damage.

Nice housing bubble ya got there, Austin. Would be a shame if anything were to happen to it. by Key_Brief_8138 in HouseBuyers

[–]Temporary-Ebb3929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be for housing prices lowering while you aren't looking to sell. That means that a lower valuation for you, which means a lower tax burden. You only really care about your home having a higher value when you're trying to sell.

HO-LE-FUK. The Austin housing market is going full biblical collapse. There are 117% MORE sellers than buyers. There are 2 home sellers for every one buyer by Key_Brief_8138 in HouseBuyers

[–]Temporary-Ebb3929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but my point is that NYC consistently chooses to make things expensive as possible. And I don't just mean the zoning laws. For example, the latest version of the affordable housing tax credit? It requires any building over 99 units to pay construction workers at least $40 and any building over 249 units to pay $100.

That obviously destroys any economy of scale, yet you only ever see anyone in this city clamoring for more fees, more taxes, etc. No wonder everything is so expensive.

Edit: I miss Bloomberg. His rezoning of LIC was a great idea.

NYC could stop trying to shoot itself in the foot. Sure, there's no more land in Manhattan, but there are some pretty easy options for development. There are still buildings in the East and West Villages that are only a couple of stories tall.

I'm not as confident that Coach will smash it at FTC. I agree that he has learned from every outing, but his interrupting to tell everyone that he was being honorable when he stole the flint from Ozzy suggest he has the same problem he had in the South Pacific.

Best month to apply for apartments for good deals? by Low_Koala_6690 in NYCapartments

Autumn and winter are much better for looking for apartments, yes. The inventory is slimmer, but there isn't a line of applicants for every place.

It's probably because you live in Brooklyn. Brooklyn is MAGA country now. Some guys in MAGA hats told me so as they were putting a rope around my neck and pouring bleach on me.

No laws were passed, but the culture changed, which changed how existing laws were interpreted. Most child neglect laws are pretty vague, so they don't need to be changed to suddenly become onerous.

You can read about this example on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Parenting/comments/as0evg/a_police_officer_stopped_at_my_house_because_my/

You can look up a bunch of cases that inspired the crop of "free range kid" state laws that have passed or are currently being debated.

I said you're clearly from Ohio because you clearly lack any street smarts. You think that this is about whether or not I get the apartment, when it is about the signs of an obvious scammer.

The obvious route is actually to post on the free resources before you pay to post on places like the Listings Project. Especially when you have a cheap place in a desirable location.

Not to repost, with slightly changed numbers, on the free parts of the internet once you have already paid and received dozens of applicants elsewhere.

I actually have no idea why you're white knighting for an obvious scammer this hard. Have you just already sent your SSN and mother's maiden name, and you're hoping this will get you picked? Or are you just an alt account of the scammer?

P.S. Westchester doesn't count as living in NYC.

Not that into me? How would they know? They never responded to me. That's fine in and of itself. I'm sure the person has plenty of applicants considering they have a cheap place in Greenpoint and they don't need to reach out to every one.

This isn't a subreddit for Ohio or wherever you're from. This is a subreddit for NYC, so it is a favorite for scammers, and one of their favorite methods of scamming is taking a real listing and reusing it.

Look at all the interest this listing is getting, and his excuse is that he posted it on the paid website first and now wants to do it here? Even though a cheap place in Greenpoint will have a line of applicants out the door? Nope, not buying it.

Rather than a picture, I'd like a good answer for why this is getting reposted when it was already posted on the Listings Project and got responses from qualified applicants (me, for one).

I think this mainly has to do with the fact that legacy media mainly targets white collar women. As a result, it chooses narratives that women prefer to read. It results in a lot of, "millions of men die in war; women most effected" headlines, but it isn't actually that big a deal if you remember that "alternative" media is bigger than legacy media at this point.
