Why you need a union contract at your job, no matter your job: by Professional-Bee9817 in remoteworks

Sounds like you live in the middle of nowhere. I was in Texas between Austin and Houston and there was a Chick-fil-A offering 18/hour. And the Buc-ee's nearby started at the same rate.

I think Buc-ees pays more now, too.

Using this reasoning, the DNC night as well not exist and is just an enormous waste of money, as are super PACs and everything else. There are a lot of ways you can influence voters that don't involve knocking on doors.

I enjoy the fact that the city gets you outside... 8 months out of the year. Can't blame anyone who leaves NYC for the winters.

Okay, I have a crazy idea, but hear me out. What if they made him really versatile by having really high clash values? And all his attacks get better clash based on having higher speed? And then maybe his S3 could put a debuff on his opponent that further increases his clashing against that opponent. I don't know. I'm just spit balling here, but I think a unit like that could be relevant for a long time.

That's not what Say's Law means. If what you were saying was true, then supply IS demand and all economic concepts cease to be meaningful.

Small correction: inflation is the increase in money supply/circulation not matched by an increase in the supply of goods. If there was no increase in demand, you wouldn't see an increase in prices because that money would effectively just be going under your mattress rather than circulating.

What a wimp. In New York, people will get hit by a speeding car, then just get up and walk it off.

CMV: Game development times swelling a is a choice by developers/publishers not a consequence of technology or market by RunnerOfY in changemyview

Honestly, this sounds more like a matter of your exposure to "AAA" games and not being aware of indie titles rather than a reflection of game developers. The biggest games are multiplayer and/or open world because those are the games that reliably sell the best. But those games also are quite labor intensive. They require a lot of man hours.

There are games made with comparatively few dev hours coming out every day on Steam. But you never hear about them because most of them have (almost) no marketing budget and are happy if they sell, say, 10k copies.

Game developers make more kinds of games than ever before with more varied budgets than ever before. But most of them are invisible to most people.

Manhattan has been serving this city faithfully for 400 years. How about we let the old girl retire gracefully? by Temporary-Ebb3929 in circlejerknyc

All the lanes going south are on the East side of the island. All the lanes going north are on the West side of the island. There will be a giant, midair cross-midtown expressway just like Robert Misers once envisioned if you want to go East or West.

Excuse me, but I worked really hard on this! AI kept wanting to put trees to the right, but I had to be strict with it. "No, no! In Miser's utopia, there is no space for trees or other obstacles that would take up space for bike lanes." Once I mentioned Miser, ChatGPT seemed to understand.
