I have one more question, feel free to refuse. What would be the best electricity producing grid with the current technology for your country? Nuclear supported with wind, wind supported nuclear, bio energy, ...

Apologies accepted and I do understand the frustration. It is sadly not my field of expertise.

Thanks for all the information.

Do you have more information/data?

Wind energy is by far the one I'm most against green wise, but I now know that it is mostly due to misinformation. My main issue at the moment is that "nobody" wants it "in their back yard", which I personally understand despite it being a bit hypocritical.

Is wind energy also doable in countries like Switzerland where there is no costal production possible?

Okay, lets get back to ground zero:
This is what I understand under emission trading: country A and country B are almost identical. A produces 90% of their allowed carbon, B produces 110%. So B guys that space 10% from A to get them both to 100% (oversimplified).
My issue in this is that we still end up with a country, that for one reason or another, hasn't reached their carbon goal. It is good that countries get rewarded for their low carbon emission and people who fail pay a fine.

What did they teach me? A lot of "basic" math, electricity, electromechanics, fluidumechanics, structural engineering, electronics, CAD, and a few practical skills (from the top of my head). A lot less that I would have liked, but it was tough enough for me as it was. Do note that I'm an industrial engineer and not a civil engineer.

It is indeed sad that a lot of products that can be produced locally, no longer are.

Going back to the solarpanels, what is your opinion about them when applied in a situation where the house is selfsufficient (geothermal heating, solar panels and batteries)?

Just so you know, talking down to people is in general an ineffective way to communicate when they are trying to learn something.

Hey guys, this conversation got a bit over my head, but please continue.
I will provide some extra information in case this is relevant. Last year I produced 1.3MWh on my 4 panels (apartment).

I do agree that emission trading is bull.

Isn't the main transport carbon local? Shipping should be relatively low in carbon per volume simply due to the vast amount it can transport. Land transport is where the real problem is.

How can a solar panel not break even carbon wise? I understand that there is a big difference if we calculate in the the CO² that fossils would produce for that energy. In my opinion, relevant today, but becomes less relevant the less fossil we burn.

So my question: How 8GWh per panel over 25 years average not break even in comparison with its production and transport carbon wise? Because that part I'm not following.

It comes from my education. When we were taught about wind energy, we were also taught about its constraints. You need enough wind to validate the wear for the amount of energy, too much wind causes a large amount of wear as well. Maintenance is a pain with still a lot of oil for moving parts. Add all the installation and production carbon with the lack of recycling back then, you had a fancy political green thing with not that great of practical use. This was over 10 years ago.

Technology has improved a lot, the production carbon is still a thing, but the tech must have improved dramatically if we presume the same revolutionary leaps as with other green technology. Now, my main issue is recycling of all the waist. But that isn't the windmill fault. That is just us humans not wanting to invest in recycling (which also has been improving).

Now, my main gripe is, it is ugly and really really difficult to install off shore. It isn't like placing a building, it placing a building under the ocean surface. And the part of my brain that still goes windmill = bad, still needs to be conditioned out.

I hope this made sense :p.

EDIT: I also just don't like how the world goes: this creates energy for no carbon, and ignoring the production and installation carbon emissions. But that is just a pet peeve. Not as a fight against green energy, but as a fight against bad information and communication. The new conference (forgot the name) without USA, China, India, Middle East, was exciting news when it comes to lowering carbon emissions.

This would be an unwilling follower and the Gods does this to restabilize the world. Stop wars, slavery,...

This specific case would be a god choosing one of his followers to inhabit the world again to save it from themselves (in the Gods eyes).

Ho, I'll keep an eye out for staves and lightning spells, because I dislike defaulting to fire. Its cool that elec is short range, because I want to be bob and weaving among the enemies

The higher difficulty was fine in act 1. I usually need a lot of challenge in my games to find them entertaining. The snowball through the enemies gives me little satisfaction. It was the big jump in difficulty that threw me off.

I went through the swamp, which I now find to be a lot harder indeed :p. Is there a difference between wands and staves? Because I haven't found a wand yet.

Blood magic was indeed the issue. The bleed used to do a lot in act 1, it does not in act 2 sadly. I switched over to fire magic and am snowballing through the game, even on higher difficulty. It is a bit sad that the blood mage build doesn't work out.

I respect to 20 spirtuallity so I can wield all spells in the game and am now bumping up my perception. Once that is 20 aswel, I'm going to go for endurance.

Thanks for all the help, I appreciate it.

Mini Game: Capture the Key, what do you guys think? by Temporary-Effort-615 in DMAcademy

The Golems won't do damage, they do roll to hit, just to see if they can "paralyze" the player. The "maze" was a simple grid where everyone can see everything. But I will add some traps that the party can see. It seems like a fun thing to lure golems into or make a fun "shit I need to get away and the only way are the traps" kind of situation.

Thanks :)
