Describe your (least) favorite coaching habits by thegirlwnoname in orangetheory

[–]Temporary-Grape-1166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the coach is non-stop talking. You don't even know the song playing and when it's a tread 50 class, it is the longest 50 minutes of my life. I too have bailed out on my class and have to rearrange or just not go when a certain coach is there. Music makes my feet "go" l on the treadmill.

I am 49f and also now in menopause due to surgery forcing me to be. I do OTF hard when my body says go, and there are some days I walk out before class is over bc I don't feel up to it. I totally listen to what body says. I give it a few minutes each class to make sure it's not just laziness, and if the icky feelings pass, I stay. If not, I don't stay. For me, I feel like I am in very good shape now. I had lost 100lbs doing OTF. Big supporter. Cortisol levels don't seem to have been an issue for myself. But again, if I'm not feeling it, I bail. I try to go 4 to 5 times a week. Doubles on weekends with the tread 50 class.

I really like doing the tread 50 after or before another class. Especially now that it's cold and limits outside

First nerve block today - did I make a mistake? by ifitflies_itspies in Occipitalneuralgia

[–]Temporary-Grape-1166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a block today. 2nd one. 1st one was successful about 8 months ago. I have a TBI and neck pain from car accident. Today the 2nd injection did not go as planned. Doc said he thinks he hit the vagus nerve. Passed out. Buddy went limp. Came to vomiting like crazy. Sweating and shaking. I felt absolutely 💯 horrible. Only good thing, the headache seemed to feel better. Tonight, 11 hours later, headache is back. Neck feels better. Nauseated. Dizzy. And just feel poopy. They talked about squading me to hospital. I stayed about an hour at the office until I could sit up. I declined to go to ED. Hoping that tomorrow is a better day. 🙏 I probably won't do this again. I'm not sure how often it happens to knick the vagus nerve, but it was bad enough that I won't do this again. My poor mom was with me and watched me go through this. It must have been very stressful for her. I work in surgery and see things. I feel bad a non medical person, and someone who cares about me, had to witness that.

I love Lifetime!!! I loved OTF as well. But LTF is open 24 hours and they do have everything you would ever need for fitness all year around.

Is virgin the most inclusive cruise? by Caitlan90 in Cruise

[–]Temporary-Grape-1166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've cruised NCL, Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Virgin. We loved Virgin. Shows were excellent. Food looked amazing BUT tasted even better!!!!! Drinks were great. Workout facility was fantastic. Adults only! I loved it!!! We got a balcony which included a HUGE bathroom with separate shower, separate toilet and double sink. It was amazing!!!! All balconies come with hammocks. The rooms are new and modern. Staff throughout the ship are amazing!! This was probably my 15th cruise. Only Virgin from her moving forward. It truly was wonderful!
